Whoa, had one of the cable cars on my old HO layout! It did need a bit of TLC out of the box, but once it broke in, it would run back and forth with no attention.

I think you will like the PowerCab. I have been using one for almost 2 years. Works great. I run up to 6 trains at a time (have to concentrate
Took maybe 5 minutes to empty the box and set up a test track. It will eventually be for testing and programming but for the near future it will run the trains when I get track down in the new space.I think you will like the PowerCab. I have been using one for almost 2 years. Works great. I run up to 6 trains at a time (have to concentrateof course). It will program DigiTrax, TCS, NCE, ESU and Lenz (Atlas) with no issues. The NCE guys say it is good for 2 Amps. I have used it at about 900mA with 6 diesels running and 6 more idling, and it is fine.
I'll have to put it on the test track but I'm planning to repaint it.Whoa, had one of the cable cars on my old HO layout! It did need a bit of TLC out of the box, but once it broke in, it would run back and forth with no attention.
Sometimes you just have to.... ;<)I have no idea why I bought this, as it doesn't fit with anything I have, but I like it.

Do you intend to weather these cars ?Since I couldn't just buy track, I picked up a couple pieces of rolling stock also. Got my first centerbeam flatcar (Northwestern Oklahoma) and first bulkhead flatcar (BNSF) to diversify the fleet a bit. Also got a lumber load for the centerbeam also.
