Hello All,
I wanted to show off some of the cool goodies I got at this month's train show. There is a train show that is held in Wheaton, IL every month (except July) that is one of the biggest and oldest around. I always find the best deals here. I thought I would show off some cool stuff I got this weekend.
First item: Custom Metra #4 switcher
This is a one-of-a-kind Athearn switcher painted for Chicago Metra. The guy who painted this said he'll never do this exact one ever again.
Picked it up for $125
Second Item: Broadway Limited AC6000 Paragon - Union Pacific
I saw this and the guy was asking $135 for it, DC with no sound. I told my wife that I liked it, but that it was too expensive and that I had gotten another one just like it previously for $100. After hearing that, the guy selling it offered it to me for $90. I was tempted but said maybe I'll come back. He dropped the price to $75 on hearing that. How could I pass that up?
It looks so cool next to my other AC6000 from Broadway Limited. This one was a Blueline DC locomotive with sound.

Third Find: Athearn CNW C44-9W Dummy:
I found this at the show and couldn't pass it up. Dummies are a great way to create 2+ engine consists when you don't need the power of 2+ engines. For $15, how could I pass this up?
I had a good day at the train show today.
