In fact Rex, at that time I had hair down below my shoulders, a full flaming red beard and a.......on second thought, may be it was best I didn't pull my hat off. Might have looked like a big red squirrel to him, if I did that!

CJ, a flower child?? Now that I know you had so much hair, it is a good thing you didn't expose more. The couger may have thought you to be a girl friend.

Man, the temperature sure is nice right now at 61deg. It's going down to 54 tonight. We will freeze. (laugh snowbirds) It's late, but what the heck...cup of hot chocolate please.

Yea Rex, I was a Hippie in those days. Even got a picture somewhere with the beard and even longer hair. Then I started working for a living and the hair got cut some and the beard trimmed then I satrted to lose what I had up top, so I shaved the beard off. If I grew one now, it would be grey.

Yup I remember the days of long hair well. Blond curly hair hanging on my shoulders with my Star and Stripe Jeans on and a can of Bud in my right hand. I used my moms hair dryer(one of those that had the plastic bonnets) and dad would sit there with his hand hiding me under the hair dryaer. LOL LOL The star and stripe jeans, red shirt and a white tie. Man was I a lookin good at least I thought so. And then there was also the purple and yellow jeans man was I ever stylin in those days.

Danged ole Cable went out again. We have had a lot of trouble with it since the very first hurricane.

I hate it when the cable/phone is down, Jan reckons I should get a life instead of hanging out in coffee shops!!

We had a mini hurricane here today, I've not experienced wind and rain like it for a long time. No damage and I'm still connected :D :D

We have a empty bedroom!! My eldest has gone flatting with her best friend, I was real tempted but no, I stick to the garage till we move.

Rex- Thanks, nice to have a thread where you could just talk.

RT- Love those cats (I have two myself) , and we are also getting poured on over here (It was raining all yesterday and it's supposed to rain till at least this afternoon)

Good morning all.

Sabrina, I'll do the western omlet and a large coffee, please.

Let's see... cats, long hair, circumcision

Uhhhh, ok, let's see, what was I going to say??? :D

It looks like we may get some work done on the new locos today. LGM and I went by the LHS and got some detail parts and a decoder yesterday. Maybe we can get the Stewarts done.

Good morning, guys. Hey the new waitresses are working out nicely! Mmmmm. Cocoa with whipped cream.

Our Lucky cat was like Uncle Crackers --- his mom abandoned him at birth in my dad's back yard, so our daughter and I cleaned him up and hand fed him with a doll's bottle 24/7. He got so fat, his belly touched the floor for a while. He too has always been a little weird, but he's made it to 18 years old, even though his favorite "trick" is biting me on the ankles when I'm barefooted.

Good morning! Happily I finished the taping of the garage last night - ran out of tape 2 1/2 feet short of complete. Due to good planning ^W^Wblind luck, the section that isn't gettting any tape is behind the chest freezer, completely unseen.

This afternoon I'll do the finish mudding and declare victory over the room.

Then... I start painting. I'm going to do the "wet paint" blending technique from the Dream, Plan, Build DVD to turn the entire available wall into backdrop. Time to figure out how tall I want this thing.

Hi Flo! How about a BLT with an egg on it and a glass of Moo juice. I like Flo. My Sister-in-law looked just like her and was just as nutty.

Jeff, you are doing what I should have done in my shop (garage). I got in a big hurry and insulated the walls and then covered them with luan board. Didn't even think about the ceiling until summer rolled around. Because of my layout, I had to put hangers between the ceiling joists to keep the insulation up. It does the job, but sure doesn't look as nice as drywall would have been.

Still having problems with this cable. Slower than Dial up. I did a modem ping and checked out good, but a web ping showed a 15-20% packet loss. It takes Comcast forever to do anything and I don't believe they work the weekends.

Sure love this weather. I can work in my Depot without the noisy a.c. on. Its a 24k btu unit mounted in the wall and it sure lets you know its there. Guess I need to get back to the business of building mountains. Hope ya'll have a great Saturday.

Hey Flo the biggest Rasbery Iced tea ya got I is so thristy I couold drink down a gallon of my favorite brew right now. Been out in the shop gettin some more cabinetry finished. Still luv the smell of oak saw dust and seein the wood chips fly is better en anythin to me at the present time. Love to make saw dust and noise specially when the finsihed product looks sooooo good. Well back to the shop and ,more noise and wood chips.

Flo, welcome to the CS, I see you're one of the two applicants RT selected. We're all pretty harmless around here, but if anybody gives you trouble just let us know and we'll set 'em straight... ;) ! BTW I'll have a cuppa joe and a danish.

SteveB - check my "GSS Gadsden" thread, if you like weathered gondolas you'll find a good prototype photo in the second post...

On the subject of animals: my 7yr-old daughter started feeding a stray cat back in mid-August, now she [the cat] thinks she belongs to us! We can't let her in the house because I and my 13yr-old son have severe allergies, but she hangs out on the deck all the time. Well, after I returned from spending 5 hours at the MVA to get my 15yr-old a learners permit, my 7yr-old comes to me and asks if I've seen the cat - a seemingly harmless question, until I discover that she's disappeared inside the house! [Stephanie felt sorry for her because it's pouring down rain outside.] And since she knows she'll be evicted when I catch her, she has made herself scarce - we still haven't found her  ! Guess I'd better stock-up on Benadryl...

Circumsiscion? That's something I do with the ends of my wires before I solder 'em...

I saw a gondola Ken, bout 10 mins ago at a steal mill on your new industries topic, i will have to turn up the heat and try to bend one like that, i have often seen them on videos with there bellys bursting, some look like they could collapse any second. As for allergies i had surgery 8 months ago for the very same reasons, they dug a hole in my head and tore out my nasal passages and sinus's, that's what it felt like when i woke up anyway, still not fully recovered though, i have to go back for endoscopy in November,
How did we get onto the subject of Circumsision, one minuete it was cougers and cowboy shooting and the next it's teethless sharks sucking people to death and circumsisions just for saying three little words,

Benadryl by the case now that you have a cat think its yours to keep and yes once you start feeding it you will have a hard time if you can getting rid of it I know I now have 8 inside cats that basicly were outside drifters have a wife that doesn't understand the word no.

Anyway wanted to go do yardsales today and it was raining cats and dogs so went anyway and did okay but got soaked of coarse now that its 5 P.M. the sun is coming out Figures my luck.

Did get some nice things even found a 24" bridge I think is Marx's as they had a habit of not marking there stuff hoping Lionel buyers might think it was Lionel lol anyway it will be going up on ebay as I don't have room for it in my layout . Plus a bunch of other stuff for ebay (wifes job that I do all the work and she keeps the proffits LOL) yes she came up with this idea that we find and resell stuff on ebay at auctions and yardsales only problem is I pay for it, I put it on ebay, I pay ebay fees, I pack it, I ship ,it I pay to ship, it She gets the money from the sale something just not right here lol...
