Part of my reason for not doing so much modeling isn’t the fact that I need to do floor running (I actually sort of like it) but rather that (At this time) I can only do it in a small space in my garage, as my brother has allergies, and sometimes the old models I have picked up smell. But this Fall (When the pollen is down) we plan on testing some of my HO models around him.
In the meantime, we are going to test my N scale stuff around him, as Mom thinks there would be less (Or no) smell. If all goes successful, this will be a game changer for me. I will have more room for running and will be able to share the hobby with my siblings.
Assuming all works out, I have big plans!
I have been wanting to do some N scale for a while and had already gotten a haul from one show, but waited to do anything with it. Now coming from this last show, everything I got was N scale! And some great stuff too!
The prize possession is this Broadway Limited Imports Reading T1, which is officially my most expensive model I own. As you can see, the person (Not who I bought it from) who previously owned it made the fatal error of trying to brush paint this (Which is why I got it so cheap). Everything for 180$. Man, I cannot stress enough: If you are a young modeler (Or even if you aren’t) GO TO TRAIN SHOWS. Great stuff, great prices (Mostly).
So, I will still be working on my other stuff, but with me being able to bring this stuff inside, I will be turning my focus to N scale for a little while. I have several projects in mind (And now with the printer, just think of the tiny things that could be printed!) STARTING WITH RESTORING THAT T1. It will be hard (As I don’t want to damage it) but I am looking forward to it. I start today.
I will be making a separate thread for the N scale, as I feel there might be a bit going into it (I will drop a link here when I make it). Locos will still be in this thread, but the details and general talk of the projects will be in the other.
So I just wanted to share with you all what has been going on. Looking forward to the future N scale stuff (I got a feeling NGru does too)! See you then!
