I'm rapidly running out of space to store them all in is the problem, and I've one more on the way, one HO SD70ACe in UP WP heritage from Tony's Trains that's sitting at UK customs, another HO SD70 (Lease) I'm contemplating on, and, when they comes back into stock, a HO French REE K22 locomotive steamer, a OO scale Accurascale Deltic Diesel, plus a HO SD90 Demo all on pre-order.Thats not a bad thing.
Variety is the spice of life. Think that is a saying I've heard somewhere but applies here!
Thanks Gary, I was surprised as well, I've found a couple more (due later this week). The car looks awesome for sure!
Thanks, I need to go back to TomO's weathering thread and re read his tips for doing this.Looks very good!
I have unofficially started referring to new Acela (AKA Avelia) as the "Reptile".The first Eurostar ran in November 1994, the first Acela was in, I think December of 2000.
But the earlier version of the Acela and the Eurostar do look alike.

I think the new version Acela definitely takes after the Japanese bullet train tho.

That weathering is just about perfect, I would just shoot a little dust on top of the roof. Bigger problem is; I don't think Great Northern ever had "Northeastern" type caboose...but I could be wrongMy poor attempt at a little weathering, still need to do the wheels tho'.
I've also added a rear light to this one which is also battery powered, need to find a better way to power them, I want to add two, but the battery will only power one, I know someone said about using collars or springs as pickups from the axle, need to investigate that idea.

That thing is going to be a workhorse!I removed the decoder, seeing it was a 4 function and I'm pretty sure I need a 6 function one, and re-installed the blanking plate to run on DC. I'm a little concerned that the rear light didn't light up, but that maybe wired like that, I'll find out later when one of the two 6-function decoder's arrive.
Anyway, Alco 630M doing a lap of my track.
Have to admit, it's definitely a looker.T
