We'll believe you, honest, we willI would never do that……that’s just wrong!
Yeah it was good after the first few laps. The first few laps were a bit hesitant and jerky but once the little Amtrak got going, it ran pretty smooth not withstanding some rather large (in n scale terms) gaps in a couple of the tack joins. All in all, I am reasonably happy with things at the momentAwesome!! Thats got be a good feeling!
You are growing sleepy, sleepy, sleepy ... when you wake you will have an irresistible urge to build/buy signals, LOTS of signals .....You guys need to stop with the signal talk, now you have me intrigued!![]()
Yeah - sure we will, absolutelyWe'll believe you, honest, we will![]()

Nice, I don't use ground throws, as all my throws are powered.I have the mast and dwarf type signals on my layout but use them only to indicate which route
is selected on a turnout. Neat to have them change colors as the turnout is thrown. Makes
things easier in the yard area visualizing train direction when there are multiple turnouts in the
same area.
It also falls into my grand scheme to have night time scenes on the layout.

The red signal shows the turnout is thrown against the diverging route on the right hand track. The green indicates
the straight through position is selected.

I use Caboose Industries ground throws with switch contacts to control the signals. Makes for an effortless method
to change aspect colors on the signals as the turnout is manipulated.

Wiring schematic for the signals. A red LED from one signal is wired to the green LED of another signal and are wired to one side
of the Caboose Industries ground throw. The green LED from the first signal is wired to the red LED of the second signal and
are wired to the other side of the ground throw. The center contact on the ground throw is wired to the negative side of a 12 volt
DC power supply. All of the LED anodes (positive side) are wired together to the positive side of the 12 volt power supply.
View attachment 167091The above photo shows a similar wiring arrangement using dwarf signals where two tracks merge.
Go on, get a couple, you wont regret it.You guys need to stop with the signal talk, now you have me intrigued!![]()
Which bit ?Once you have it figured out Chris - wanna let me know as well![]()
Ahh - All of it mate - all of it ...Which bit ?
That would make a nice lake perhaps, or park maybe, unless you want to put a spur in, have mini industry ?Ahh - All of it mate - all of it ...![]()

I bet between the two of us, we could drain Tonys wallet pretty easily!![]()

But yes, between the kits and the signals, I think we could at least put a stain on his wallet. Those are some really nice kits.
