So, been absent a while. But not idle. I have just been learning track work, and why things don't run like they are supposed to . Not saying I have it all figured out yet. But still learning. Anyway. Now that I have been looking at layout designs, and trying to figure out what I want to do. I was always just thinking one level. But seeing pics and vids of multi level layout, my head was going to explode. I know I can not do what I want due to space issues. So I am looking for expert advice. I have roughly 36x72inches. I can go a bit bigger. And I thought I had it figured out, until I realized with only 3 inches of space between level 1 and 2, that just gave no room to work for when accidents happen. So. Do you think it is even possible to have 2 levels on a layout this size? The second level obviously not as big. Maximum 20x36, and even some of that is cut away. And I am talking about moving the train from bottom level to top level. Not 2 independent trains. My only other option I think if I wanted a multi level, would be to run a narrow bottom, with more length, and and narrow top layer. Probably have to run a helix then, I I have no idea about that. Anyway. For now, I am looking at my 36x72 ish. Tell me its impossible if you must. N gauge.
