I guess that was the sleeping pill kicking in last night and the message didn’t get posted. Need to figure out how I switched keyboards and got those two Japanese characters in. Made it to 0500 and took my pills and eye drops. Now everything comes under dr and nurse control.

I did. My nephew was here to help with the heavier groceries like dog food and bags of can goods and laundry soap.

I was able to get an appointment for a haircut today. I can't tell you how good a fresh hair cut makes me feel. I looked like a bum yesterday when they discharged me. I badly needed a haircut, hadn't shaved since Sunday morning, needed a shower, etc.

Feels great to almost be my old self.
 
I got my twice a year whether I need it or not haircut last week. Wife did her magic with our Wahl... ( Using #6 or #7 do the whole head. #4 the sides. #2 the bottom back. Use the two ear attachments to get over the ear. Use no attachment to square off sideburns (not really sideburns as they're cut at ear level), etc. )

I'm somewhere in between! I'm currently on the three times a year, need it or not; Easter, between July 4 and Labor day and Thanksgiving. That's down from four times since Super-cuts raised the price 30% a few years ago. Went from zero times during the 70's and 80's when I wore a ponytail. New owners at work started giving me the sideways eyeball in the early 90's, so I started getting it cut gradually. Ended up saving money on shampoo as a bonus!

I use Whal #1 on the sides and #2 on top, I like my hair to be short.

I went through the long hair phase. Looking back at photos it looks like I had a mop on my head. Like Ian Gillan when he was with Sabbath.

My lifelong friend still has a long ponytail. He gets away with it because he is a long-time union operating engineer, and he consistently works hard making him untouchable. I often tease him " A grey ponytail, seriously?"
 
I think thats what i use as well. I also tried long hair but i couldn’t get it past the ears before it drove me nuts.

Still have to be face down for a few more hours before i can start looking ahead. I was about to call the nirse for a 2nd round of pain killers bit as soon as i lifted my head out of the donut pillow, i felt the pressure release and it became tolerable. Guess im not the sleep on your face type.

Good morning all. Another irregular sleep night/morning.

Fell asleep on the recliner couch last night around 2300, woke at 0130, and went upstairs and slept in my bed for the first time since last Saturday night until 0515. Still a little groggy with my first cup of coffee sitting on the living room recliner couch in case a nap strikes me suddenly.

This getting old crap ain't for sissies, that much is certain.

Another half-day of antibiotics and both bottles will be gone. Doctor follow up on Monday, surgical follow up on Wednesday. I'm expecting the JP drain to be removed Wednesday. Fluid accumulation has slowed to less than 25 cc over a 34 hour time period. I emptied it last night at 2200 and this morning has about 2cc.

My nephew and his friend, both of my shooting buddies came over and cut my grass for me yesterday with the zero-turn. They also trimmed with the high-speed gas trimmers. I haven't seen that much sidewalk concrete in a couple of years. My wimpy battery powered trimmer can't muster enough power to get a razor clean edge on the front sidewalk because of that damned fescue grass.

They wouldn't take a dime for their time or gas. Mighty nice of them to help an elder out.

Back to my coffee now! Have a great Saturday.

Good morning all!

Currently its 66F with light rain falling. High is supposed to be around 77F with a chance of rain most of the morning into early afternoon.
Glad I got the grass cut yesterday as we are expecting 3 days of cool rainy weather.

Today is usual Saturday stuff around the house. Grocery run, laundry, and general pick-up.

Not much else going on at the moment. House is still quiet since everyone is still in bed.
