Well, time to turn in a bit early. Got an early start to get to the hospital. Had to put my name on everything solid that I own and will scope out the room when I get there. With the typhoon heading our way, I already secured everything that looked like a missile hazard so that my wife didn't have to worry about it. All she needs to do is feed my fish. I also told her to take a taxi back from the hospital if the weather is too bad. Maybe a hundred bucks, but less of a worry for both of us.

Got the suitcase loaded.

Oh, and unfortunately, I got the database error and the site is slowing.

Good morning from Sister Bay Wi. It’s 61f heading to 70.

Yesterday was a great day for driving up here circling the peninsula and settling down for the evening. Today we will play tourist and if the Bay of Green Bay is smooth we will get on a tour boat. Yesterday the Bay was pretty damn smooth, Lake Michigan a few miles east had a chop. We’ve been on choppy Lake Michigan and it’s not fun. We normally are not gift buying people in tourism areas but we did stop at 3 gift shops in Gill’s Rock and made 3 shop keepers pretty happy. I asked Terry why and the response was because “WE” wanted to! Can’t argue when it’s a “we” thing…

We didn’t pay the WiFi/internet thing in the place we are renting but while it’s not fiber optic speeds 200 mbps isn’t bad. Not sure if that’s what we would have gotten if we had paid the extra fee. It’s nice as I’m not going cold turkey as that was the plan. But the cell phone is tough to type on. Using a stylus

There is a tour Saturday at Fincatueri Marine Group in Sturgeon Bay. Found out yesterday and we are now on the waiting list. I guess once a quarter they open for a small tour group. Right now they have 2 ore boats in dry dock. They build most of the US Coast Guard fleet small vessels here and across the Bay in Marinette. Italian company also builds here for the US Navy. Fingers crossed as I’d like to go, it’s a “we” payback thing so Terry is coming if we can get in!

I told my wife just bury my ashes in the yard, or in my weber, or toss me into the ocean instead of paying the shrine for the privilege of letting me hang around with them buddha dudes. She said they could go to jail for that. I asked who would know? You don't have a big procession during the peak time of day, make a big speech and then slowly pour the ashes into the ocean. No! you go at 0100, in the cover of darkness and toss me into the ocean, in a paperbag with a rock in it. So easy.

Actually, you really can't, but this is the American west, so who's gonna know unless you make an obvious production of it.

My brother had a flair for drama, or he was trying to bring the remaining three sibs together, but we all got along just fine, so there was really no need for it. Still, we did what he asked of us.

If I had fallen off the cliff (it's about 1,200 ft. drop I think), that would have brought a little more attention to what we were doing, but I managed not to.

As for me, I'm a Klingon when it comes to that stuff. Flush twice or just find the dumpster out back. No need to scream to the heavens either. Just dump me in and wipe your hands if you need to.

My sister spread my Brother in Law ashes all over the country. Some in Hawaii, some in the back yard in Orland Park, Illinois, some in Grand Haven, mi, Kiawah Island and a few other places. All places they had been to and loved to visit. It’s illegal!. Big F’ing deal, who is going to say anything…

Good Morning All. Clear and 75°, cool compared to many recent days. Expecting 101° again today. I only saw 100° on my thermometer yesterday, but what's the degree of difference at this point. My low temperature for many of the past few days is higher than some of y'alls highs! As expected originally, the NWS has removed the rain from our forecast, but I don't rule out the possibility of a pop-up shower here and there today since we're supposed to get winds out of the SE today

Routine dental cleaning yesterday with a new hygienist, my regular girl was supposedly lurking in the office somewhere, but I didn't see her. Gas about town has inched ever closer to the magic $4 mark, with $3.99 just about everywhere. Nothing new around the homestead, yesterday I only stacked firewood after emptying the dishwasher. Dental appointments at 11:00 really interrupt the day.
I postponed the epidural for the spinal stenosis until Friday, and by default, the weekly grocery trek was moved with it. So more of the same outdoor activity this morning.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I fiddled with vehicles for the Pizzaland place, and an outdoor picnic area for customers to enjoy.

That tree in the background is being temporarily supported by the clothespin since I had to fix some foliage issues first over on the workbench. It didn't quite survive being shipped 1000 miles from Chet's layout. Part of an overall shot.

For some reason, I didn't get any other pictures showing my progress yesterday.

Kusojiji - Seems like a lot of trouble just for what I thought was going to be a short hospital visit; spycams, motion light, locks for overnight bag, etc. In my case, I take only my ID, period. If I'm there longer than a day, my wife will eventually bring the phone so I can call her to come and get me out!

Mike - Good luck with the pool shutdown. I always hate doing it, but it goes with pool ownership. I had to purchase a new cover this year, which was delivered Tuesday. Looks like I'll actually get an extra 3-4 weeks of use this season.
Troy - Finally, the MRI is scheduled. Good luck and I hope that the results will lead to a successful treatment plan.

It's NOT illegal. Here are the guidelines in the US regarding scattering ashes, taken from Gemini. I already knew most of this because of past needs.

Morning All! 64 in the Brew City this morning, going to 71. Cloudy today. Train club meeting tonight, first one as treasurer with my sh!t together. I'm taking some passenger cars down to test (and yeah maybe to show off a little ) Quite a few hours went into getting them ready, and I'm still needing to do body mounted couplers on all of them. I'm awaiting parts for that. Light activity today. Enjoy your day!
