Made an excellent supper tonight, a new to me recipe with a couple of my own enhancements; Pesto Penne with Shrimp and Peas. Homemade Pesto from the hands of Mrs Willie, Peas from the frozen homegrown stash, large shrimp (peeled & deveined by Mrs Willie as well while I was in the pool) and various other ingredients. I enhanced the recipe with additional Pine Nuts, Parmesan, and Pimento Peppers as well. Most excellent! I made Arlene Zucchini spaghetti since she's back on that Keto diet (no carb), while I had some whole wheat Penne pasta.
It's a keeper!

Well, it looks like it will be a drizzly day all day. Either that, or the humidity is too high for the ground to dry.
Back on the pregabalin, 1 pill lessened the burning in the fingers and toes a little bit, so I took another around 2100 and this morning, the burning had decreased quite a bit. It may be 2 pills a day to get it to a comfortable level. But, have to remember not to take one if I'm planning to drive. Have to also get used to the loopiness again. Didn't want to do anything yesterday and felt tired. Forced myself to get off me arse and do something, so I reprogrammed my sound decoder for the commuter train and got it all tuned in finally.
Oh yeah, my immersion blender came in. Bought a Braun that came with two mixing cups, two different size blending ends (the cutter part), a small food processor, and a whisk. The powerhead has a speed control, so that'll work. Going to need to sacrifice a new toothbrush to help with washing the blade end. It says it can chop meat. Gonna have to test that.

That sounds awesome! Wish I could make something like that, but the daughter is sensitive to shrimp, and everbody else don't like veggies. Really puts a damper on what I can make. But, I will make cottage pie one of these days.

That was a neat video. Glad they can still use the name Thomas. Hate it when someone gets to patent/trademark something that you created in the first place. Some a-hole that was not from Hawaii, put in a trademark for the words ALOHA and POKE and then put in a cease and desist order to the Hawaiians for the use. 2 major issues: who the h3ll authorized the patent in the first place, and patenting words that were in use by a culture way before that a-hole was even born. I think it was all settled, but something like that cannot happen.

Hey Hey. Here's a few more from the same day i photographed the "half turntable" in Jelenia Góra; snow plow with cabs from electric locomotives:
A classic EU07 class from 1970s based on imported British built EU06 which in believe were themselves based on class 83 electric locomotives:
Old and new;
The rather ugly thing on the right is the Polish built ELF multiple unit electric commuter set. Another day and a visitor in the form of SM42 in retro paint came to town:
Sneaking around the yard an ELF set was parked deep within the maze of trackwork:
Rail diesel car performing local duty in Gryfów Śląski:
Few days later my dad and i went on a train trip to Czech Republic to the city of Liberec;
Stone built roundhouse and a glass works plant on the way are both on the Czechian side;

Good morning. I'm not usually up this early but hospital routine has mine all messed up.
Although it didn't burst, enough material was leaked to cause localized infection. Infection though was minor and ABs have taken care of it.
I still haven't peed yet even though my bladder has 240ccs of liquid. Seems my bladder was a bit 'kicked around' during the procedure and it's very sore.
Trying to pee or attempting to just relax the urinary track sphinster is an exercise in agony. Not to mention the prostate being nicked internally.
My doctor (not the surgeon) determined from the drain fuid amount that the bladder probably was nicked or scratched allowing a small amout of urine to leak into the abdominal cavity and mix with the fluid.
My full bladder even when slightly draining being very near the incisions for the leporoscopy is what was causing the incredible pain I had. This was the worse pain I've ever experience.
The nurse gently ran a cat up my hose to drain my bladder. No more pain other than low grade pain near the site of where the appendix was that is to be expected for a few days. A total of almost 400 cc drained. A lot more than the first ultrasound attempted to record. They were pumping iv solution into me that had no where to exit.
I feel like an almost new man. The Doc said since pressure has been released on the bladder, it should heal itself. They will continue to analyze the dain fluid to see when the urine disappears. They were emptying g 600+ cc of fluid out of the drain yesterday before the catheter.
The best part is being able to move normally again and walk. All I'm having now is mild post-operative pain at the incision, drain tube, and appendix site. If this heals on its own, I should be home by Friday.

Good morning all!
Mostly cloudy this morning with rain supposed to come in around 7am with round #2 arriving later this afternoon. Currently 66F with an expected high of 84F. A bit warmer today than the last couple but it may not get that high since the rain and cloud cover might not let it get that warm.
Usual stuff around the house this morning.
Volleyball game tonight is at home so no travel involved.
Not much else going on at the moment.

Good Morning All. Clear and 79°, 101° is the prediction for today; which it didn't reach yesterday as forecast. They've upped the chance for rain on the last day of Summer (9-21) to now 53%, but with less than a tenth of an inch predicted! That will evaporate as soon as it hits the ground. Our last really measurable rain was June 22, almost 3 months ago.
Yesterday was once again spent gathering, splitting and stacking firewood for the winter. Good exercise in the morning. Did a little work with the weedeater and mowed the area immediately around the house that I occasionally water for grassfire protection. Lots of time in the pool in between.
More of the same today. I have to do something to occupy the time that I used to use for mowing! Tonight is leftover marinated chicken thighs that I grilled Sunday.
Out in the train shed yesterday, I mostly reassembled the area of the layout that I have been working on. Scrubbed all of the vehicles at the Import Motors and Garage, and added them back. Added some printed backdrop buildings and temporarily set the DPM structure in place.
I had already determined not to use the wooden dock doors that come with DPM modular walls.
I made my own metal doors from some Evergreen styrene instead.
The one on the left is partially open so I can add a printed scene inside.
Of course it will be mostly invisible because a boxcar will probably be parked in front of it.
Michael - I bet that you're glad that you went to the ER, seems to have been more serious than originally thought. Best wishes on a speedy recovery. Hope that the catheter nurse was young and pretty!

Everyone have a wonderful Tuesday. Lots of pictures today since the forum seems to be behaving.
