Well, then. Here goes!!

My USB charger spy cam came in. Picture is clear, but it doesn't do much in the dark, unfortunately. I forgot to check on that part. It says 128GB maximum size SD card, but I tried a 256 and it works. It may have issues when it has to start writing over itself like my Blackvue car cam does. In motion detection mode, the 2 minute file size is 285MB, so if my math is correct, 256,000 / 285 = 898 files. Should be enough for a day or so. If it runs into an issue, I can take it out and clear it all out.

Damn straight. Either that or "On Call" rates apply to time spent on the phone. 1 hour minimum. Plus a raise if you're that vita; to normal business function.
As I was getting closer to retirement from the military, I made sure I was replaceable/disposable/not required. The Navy looks at your billet and job type to see if they can let you go. Navy uses NEC - Navy Enlisted Classification codes for each job type and specialty. I made sure to be classified as a quad 0, meaning nothing special. Surprised that they let me do that. So they were probably happy to get rid of me.

As I was getting closer to retirement from US Guvvie, I made sure to surround myself with senior, experienced people and positions so that the office could function with my reduced presence as I was concentrating on retirement. My replacement ended up being the one that I was mentoring.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those capable of clicking little boxes

It's Troy (not a robot) again. The weather guy says it's so humid we have "air we can wear" for the next several days

Well, wife was off work yesterday, and ended up working on her resume again... a little bird in the company told her that a position fitting her skill set would be coming up soon. One of several. A couple for the broad teams at large, and one specifically geared for her team. She saw the posting for the at large post, and used it to tailor her resume, getting a lot of help from the company provided MS AI. We'll see how that goes.

Hopefully the job will be posted by the end of this week.

Since she was off yesterday, we went to Cosmos, the local chain of breakfast/lunch American-Greek dining. She could get an omelette without stinking up the condo. I hate the smell of cooking eggs. Blech!

I got the steak sandwich, with cheese. Note: this is NOT a steak and cheese. Not a philly. It had thick cut steak pieces, not the thinner sliced of a Philly style.

Tasty, but I resorted to a knife and fork to eat it.

We both brought leftovers home. That'll be lunch today.

I was up at 4am today. Like normal. The pain meds are mostly working. I'm down to a dull ache most of the day. Still have limited walking ability. Around the house is fine. Car to store is fine. But I don't want to wander around any store.

Despite completing my form about the MRI on Friday, I haven't heard from the MRI place yet. I'll head out to ride the jumbo hauler at the grocery this morning, and make a stop at the imaging center along the way to see if they've got the orders yet.

I did scroll back far enough on my instagram feed to see that I got my dental implant in 2014. Need to call the Oral Surgeon office and have them check to make sure that was a titanium post that isn't going to fly out of my jaw if I get close to the really big magnet.

Still no writing this week, but I'm getting the book cover redesign disseminated out.

I've pushed the changed to all four of the majors (Amazon, Kobo, Google, and the aggregator that covers Nook, Apple, Smashwords, and the libraries.

That's the ebook only.

Now I have three places to push the paperback versions to. And the paperback requires that I import the ebook design, and size it on one half of the paperback cover, add the spine text and back cover blurb, add a "bleed" for one store, the other two don't need bleeds. So two versions of the PB cover.

Putting in a Costco order via Instant cart Fortunately the executive level gives me a monthly credit of $10 toward instantcart orders.

Morning All! 56 in the Brew City this AM, with a high of 73. Rain tonight. Got all my club treasurer stuff done yesterday. I spent an hour and a half with the banker getting things set up and transferred over to me. Relatively painless other than the time and how I have a ton of other work to do to catch up on 2-3 months of transactions. No good deed goes unpunished! Still working on the last two of my dining cars. Other than that, all of them are now mostly ready for service on the railroad. Light activity today. The wife is having a tooth pulled. Infected root canal and it can't be saved. that means an implant that isn't covered by insurance. Ducky! Her mood will be less than optimal today. Lots of medical stuff for both of us this month. Old farts are high maintenance! Enjoy your day!

Yeah the Navy's kind of different that way, and you're under contract. I was a sales and marketing executive, and I actually did take calls on vacation, or whenever necessary, but for two reasons: my compensation justified it, and it was generally easier to deal with problems on the spot than let something or several somethings wait for a week or so then come back to a flaming bag of doggy doo at the office door. If you're just a working stiff, they should be able to get along without you while you're on vacation. As I said to more than one individual: "You're the manager. Manage!"

Good morning. 60 now 70f degrees later but we won’t be here. Leaving at 9am or thereabouts

The next 3-4 days we will be in Green Bay and Door County areas of Wisconsin. Door County like the Wisconsin Dells are tourism areas that between Memorial Day and Labor Day are impossible. Less so now but it would be better next month but the weather is decent now, so we are going.

No real plans, just getting away to one of the gorgeous places in Wisconsin. We have the AB&B and will do as much or as Little as we want. I did check the menus for some local food flair. Seems even though it’s out of season the tourism gouge is ongoing!

I do have a list for Enginehouse Services in Green Bay. That is why GB is mentioned and for some reason I want to gamble some at big casino. Foolishness I know but why not

Patrick, unless it’s in your contract or it’s a City phone turn it off or ignore it. You can always say there was no or poor cell service

Enjoy your day

I was always fortunate enough to be able to hire or promote people who could do their jobs, or mine while I was on vacation, without me looking over their shoulder. Hence no need to call me while I wasn't in the office. I realize that not everyone has that opportunity.
