I like the self service place with the cook your stuff in hot oil on wooden skewers. It was expensive in Osaka but it’s fun.

Things seem cheap because we’re converting from dollars. If you’re getting paid in yen, it’s not so cheap. My wife said that wages have hardly changed in 30 years and everyone is having it tough as prices have started going up, sales tax has gone up. Etc.
Agreed. They sure don't make much. I had to hire some folks and saw their pay scale.

When I bought my house in 2011, the yen rate was 89. I had to buy a refer, 5 a/c, and a dryer. That sucked.

That’s fake news. I’ve eaten a ton at Taco Bell and never once had a problem.
I always have issues as well as others at work. When they went, I asked if they were constipated... haha

When I had visitors from SD, I'd always tease them and say that the real Mexican food was taco bell and watch them twirl. For us out here, it was the only game in town for a while.

That'd be nice. I have the Rhätische Bahn loco hauled trains with both Ge4/4 II and Ge4/4 III with both older EW I and newer cars, but don't have any of the EMU style RhB stuff.

For those wondering, since it's not US:

Yup, they'll be dragging my Bernina Express cars around.

good morning.

well i show you some pictures from "how my weekend went" :D
i went to a shop that goes out of business. so i got a great price for different stuff like colors, washes pigments and more.

Did you use an iPad to upload that photo to the forum?

If so, that seems to be the common thread.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those with sideways photos.

It's Troy again.

It's 57 F degrees heading for a high of 88.

For those of you in C-degree land, that's 14° headed for a high of 31°

Humidity is lower than it was this summer. We skipped the normal cycle of time like this most of the summer. The few times we got low humidity below 90F, it came with Canadian wildfire smoke. So the summer was basically just another winter of hunkering in the basement for me.

Slept pretty well last night. Both my wife and I were dog-tired last night. I fell asleep again right after each pee break. Woke up at 4:30 ish. The app says I got over 7 hours of shut-eye.

Got some gaming in at the game store yesterday. This is the last bit of organizing the local game group I need to do. Time for them to fly on their own.

Of course, the two armies that are (mostly) painted are both mine. I'm selling the dinos off to a friend who doesn't have time to paint... but he got layed-off from his engineering job earlier this year, and decided to retire early. So now he has the time.

I have two more events to organize in Oct, One tournament at a local gaming convention, and weekend of demos at a different convention. After that, I'm finished being responsible. I can go hibernate in the basement and work on other hobbies.

No clue what's coming up today. I might go get a donut.

I'm sure you guys have considered that it may be an outsider walking through....
I thought about that last night. Chances are about the same as being killed by a kitty in a Tiger Tank. Not impossible, but highly improbable.

Our little complex is surrounded by a commercial zone. Across the main road from us is a cemetery. There is a newish walking biking path there, but the cemetery is a lot more convenient than our neighborhood for those walking their dogs.

To the shopping center side, we've got a high berm, with wooden privacy fence. The other side of the berm is "wooded" with "trash" trees and underbrush. there area few access points we use to walk over to do some shopping. But you have look hard for them and climb a slick muddy berm. That way is probably not an issue.

Opposite side, more "wooded" with undergrowth as a county "ditch" we call a creek. Then a few rural estates. Older homes set back from the road quite a ways.

there is a retirement home to the East of the cemetery. That's were the Mother-in-law lives. They don't allow dogs of the size to leave the mess I'm seeing. Behind that complex is an apartment complex. Not impossible for them to walk over here. But they'd have most of a mile to cover to get here. I don't know a dog that's going that far on a walk without dropping it's payload earlier.

Again. not impossible, but unlikely.

Troy, Doody Detective! :D 😆 😆 He really knows his 💩! 😆:D😆;)

I have never really had a problem with Taco bell either, though I havent been there in a long time.

I used to eat there quite often when I worked full time.

The fast food restaurant I really had issues with was the chain Taco Johns. That produced "instant results" for me.
I dont know if they are even around anymore, I haven't seen one for years now.

i did make the picture with a iphone, but i did download it from icloud on my work computer (dont tell my chef) and then uploaded to here. so nothing that i didnt do before...

and i never had this problem here, i had it on another forum but not here, but it looks like this problem has traveled to this forum now also xD

Good morning all!

Monday, Monday.....

Going to be a warm one. Currently a very pleasant 56F, but the high is going to head up to 89F. Big
story is the humidity level is sitting at 93%.. I don't have any outdoor chores, other than some morning
errands. so it wont be much of a factor.

Other than a few minor things around the house, not much else going on.

Volleyball tonight is away, so dinner is going to be on the road again.

Have a safe day everyone!
