I managed to make it to the local Kaiser facility this afternoon where I had a blood test, peein the cup, and pick up another round of more stronger "horse pills" for the throat?
I am sooo tired that someone asked me in the grocerystore if I needed help. I was fairly close to blacking out due to a couple dizzy spells.

All I want to do at the moment is crawl into the bed and HOPEFULLY sleep through the night.
That has not happened in quite a while.

I finally shut off the TV with the score tied 13-13. Just could not keep my eyes open.
I will trade you one JOE BUCK for two of anything you got.
I spent half the game with it on mute - I want to watch the game - Not listen to more than 2 hours of BLABBING!

Nite ALL
Hope you're on the mend soon Sherrel, that sounds awful!

Agree on Joe Buck. Can't stand to listen to him either.

Good morning, all! Getting ready to go shoe shopping with the wife. Got my phone fully charged and lots of games loaded.

A warm morning, lower than usual humidity. I think/hope our triple digit weather is over for this year.
Trains - I just ran a couple of steamers. I find it quite relaxing to watch them. One of the locos is a Bachmann Northern with sound. As long as you don't run it too fast, the chugging can really set the mood. Of course, the scotch and water helps as well.

STAY SAFE
LATER

I'd close that account and run. Run away. Fast. I don't take that crap and non-industry-standard behavior. I've ditched banks (CC providers) for less. You are using their Auto pay system. They should stand behind it.

And I'd file a complaint with your states CU regulatory office.
TERRY ..I'm on CHAD's side - to hell with them! They would never see another penny of mine.
I have never heard of such a thing!

Just to further anybody's outrage:
This credit union charges me $5 a month for a checking account, and both checking and savings offer a great 0.0% APR on the accounts. Every external transaction gets a $3 charge, as well. Oh, and I get to pay for my checks.
I only signed up for these things because I have my car financed there.
I don't really need yet another credit card, so I think I'll just pay off the balance, and not ever charge anything else using it, unless it's a dire emergency.

Back from a couple weeks in Italy…
I saw this interesting switcher in the Salerno train station
The traction part of it looked decidedly old school…

Afternoon All,

Last night I had a short bout with fever and no chills so I might be on the mend. Although I woke up a couple of times, I had the best sleep in 5 days. I still have some fatigue and loss of appetite. MOH made it home so that's nice. Her foot is sore, but the bruising is gone, and the swelling has decreased.

Sherrel- I'm worried about you buddy. I watched the video, and the question is why?

Karl- You have to have standards with a touch of OCD. I use those for HO.

Chad- Good point about Auto-Pay. As I understand it the payment is instant.

Terry- That made sense back when payments were mailed. These days not so much. They sound more like a bank than a credit union.

airbrush- Interesting switcher

I hope everyone has a good night.

typically it is credited the day they draw it, not the day they get it. I regularly enter payments on the due date without issue, even if they are not drawn from my checking account for a couple days by their systems.
Obviously, in Terry's case they are doing something to generate additional fees. The unsatisfiable greed of some some banks and credit companies never ceases to surprise me.

Okay, after a lengthy conversation with the CC company, who is also my bank, I discovered it doesn't matter to them when the payment is made, it only matters when the payment posts. So, a payment made today on a payment due tomorrow will still be late, because it takes them 2-3 business days to post to the account. They told me "too bad" on the earlier late fees, but they did reverse the current one. I had originally set up the payments for 2 days before the due date, but it looks like it's been taking 3-5 business days to post, which can in reality be up to a week late, in the real world. The person I spoke to suggested 5-7 days before the due date for the payment to be scheduled. I'm beginning to wonder about my bank, which is a supposedly not-for-profit credit union... GTE credit union.
Some credit unions are not what they used to be. Many got burned by defaults the last time we had a major downturn in the economy, and some are trying to recover by using sharp practice. Of course, I can think of a couple of very large commercial banks and one Investment Bank, that are worse...Especially when it comes to their credit practices.

Good afternoon gang!

This is why I left NationsBank years ago. It cost me 5 bucks each time I walked inside to cash my paycheck, or I could sit in the drivethough line of about 30 other folks doing the same thing on my lunch hour, burning fuel the whole time. Either way, it cost me money.

I do have these for my modeling, Mighty Vision!!

Aaron Rogers just out deGromed, deGrom. I hope the Staten Island Jets have his contract insured. Serves them right for calling themselves a New York team when they play in Jersey. No wonder the last time they were a Super Bowl winner, they were the Titans and played in Queens. Long season for football fans in the Metropolitan Area...and it just started.
Lesson learned: Don't throw big money at aging, injury prone, has beens.....🤣

Exactly

Just to further anybody's outrage:

You decide what is best for you but see if you can move your car loan to something better. That's hard now since you probably got it at a lower rate than available now but its worth looking at. Keeping the checking account at $5 a month (and what is defined as a $3 fee external transction?) is just costing you more for your car. On a 4 year loan that is $240 more which needs to be calculated into the cost of the loan.

This doesn't sound like a credit union. It sounds like a friggin' bank! Worse. Because with a bank you know you're going to be screwed.

ETA: And when you close the accounts after moving the loan, go in to the branch in person during their busy time, and loudly say you want to close the accounts because they are ripping you off with fees and non-standard accounting of payments and they are a bunch of scoundrels.

Flo: I need a really big cuppa. Thanks

Nearly 1/4 complete with the big room and everything below the tops of the cabinets are one coat complete in the kitchen. I have the granddaughter coming after school to assist me in taking down the wife's milk bottle and cookie jar collection off the top of the cabinets so I can then paint the walls above them. so far the ibruprophen has kept up with me. took some at 5a and then again at 1:30 when the first batch was waning. Those finally kicked in. Wife worried I'll run out of paint, but not before starting in the basement. I opened a second can a bit ago and still have 3 unopened with the living room area to finish and then the master bedroom. That's what's going to take a bit to do as we have a larger (4' x8') bookcase and a couple of display cabinets to move, along with a dresser and cedar chest and bed.

The help is here, so back at it.

Orioles' pitcher, John Means makes his first MLB start tonight since Tommy John Surgery!

OK - Now you have me incensed! Do you mean everytime you write a check for anything that they charge you a fee? I moved from B.Amer. because they want a $3.00 charge for doing an ACH ...
USB does it for free, however I hear that their may be a move for all ACH transfers - from any bank.
I only signed up for these things because I have my car financed there.
Was it an order for you to have a checking account there for the car financing?

As a Packers fan, can't really say that I miss him, IMO it was time for a change on our team.
