santafewillie said............Gasoline prices were 60¢/gal higher than 2 weeks ago. Yesterday it was at $3.19/gal just about everywhere.

Gasoline in Seymour Texas has been at $3.49/gal for about 4 months.
Usually 30 cents a gallon cheaper in Wichita Falls.

John

You guys should feel lucky. Most stations are around $4.39 here in Utah. It had been $429 and fell bvack down to the $4.15 and then jumped up a couple days ago, Walmart is the low ball and was $3.85. Now $3.99

The newest studio/workshop is uncomfortable. I am starting to rearrange the weathering work space as that is we’re I spend most of my time when in the workshop. I like everything within arm’s length so I will keep playing with it all

This is actually the 4th different shop space this work space has been it. Terry thinks I need to start with removing the IPod and its speakers. I like the 7800+ songs on it within the arms length space requirement I have and yes it must be to my leftView attachment 174041

I'd cut the ends off the shelves on the left (the sides that butt up to each other) and add a wider one across the two that the iPod could sit on so it's within arms reach, but above the table, give you a bit more space for more immediate items that you use.

I heard on the radio yesterday that the average price in Maryland was $3.84/gallon.

I paid $3.49 with my ten cent/gallon discount for using my Exxon card.

In and around DC I have seen prices much higher, a few over $4/gallon.

Prices vary depending on the area.

Prices in So. Central Wi. this morning are at $3.69 for unleaded regular! Up $.40 per gallon since Monday. I have over $4.00 per gallon discount from our fuel saver rewards from our HyVee grocery store and still have 1/2 tank

And the saga of the little blue pills comes to a close.

Costco: 13.99/US for 30 of the 50mg

Doc gave me a single refill on them and said to message if I need more.

More expensive by a few bucks than if I let the insurance/mail order pharmacy handle them. But, I don't have to jump through hoops.

Now the wife will be happy and stop bugging me all the time... ;)

I tried the little rascals once. Plugged up my sinuses so bad you would have thought I put them up my nose instead of swallowing. I was miserable til they wore off. Never again!

Afternoon all,

Just the master bedroom left to do, but since we piled stuff there while I did the rest of the house, it will be a week or so before I can get ready to move the furniture to other rooms to paint.

Gas here went to $3.79 this week. Not really sure why in a way that makes sense. I know it has to do with the changeover to the winter blend coming soon.

I don't actively run the spell check on the web pages, but don't turn it off either. Does help me catch my "fat finger" syndrome. I used to be able select the word, but it hasn't been close in letting me just pick the word, I have to manually correct it.

Did manage a couple of hour drive today.

Chad/ Boris/ and others. Thanks for asking --No one has said anything about the PSA (yet).
Medical record on the Kaiser site has showing 6 < 6.5.

They have rearranged the entire website - I used to be able to see everything graphed out for the entire time I have been with them .. like a dozen different graphs on all the blood functions and such.
I hope they correct the site - I was able to watch the progress.

CURT - Prayers for your medical issues. Just saying we should talk. I seem to sleep very good for 2-3 hours and then wander around most of the after midnight hours.

JOE -- That breakfast you described -- made my mouth water!

Just did a google search:

Is a PSA of 6 normal?

Can you have a PSA of 6 and not have cancer?

Elevated PSA levels can indicate the presence of cancer, but high PSA levels can also be a result of non-cancerous conditions like benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), or an infection. PSA levels also rise naturally as you age. Elevated PSA levels do not necessarily mean that you have prostate cancer.Sep 20, 2019

I have BPH as well as a UTI when the test was done?
So maybe I am safe?

Their having all kinds of issues here lately.

This was in the news on Sunday.

Mike: Having survived one of those FRA evaluations, I take that announcement with a grain of salt. The FRA cites all sort of issues and items, and fines the carrier accordingly. Carrier appeals to the Federal Court, FRA cannot substantiate their allegations, and the Court throws them out. End result...the few bad things they stumbled upon are corrected, and life goes on.

That's not to say that Uncle Pete doesn't have issues, all railroads do. Railroads are under extreme pressure to further cut costs and increase profits even though their net income is at record or near record levels. Under this type of pressure, bad things happen.

There is no longer much oversite of carrier practices, (since Staggers), and some re-regulation is necessary.

Seriously, when you are employing the smallest work force ever, and are making the greatest profits ever, you still can't afford to pay your workers five sick days/year during a pandemic....that small issue say a lot about railroading in 2023.

Even though I did not stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night, I will tell you what I know: Used to be that anything over 4.0 was considered suspicious. Since then, our "friends" at the CDC decided that the PSA was no longer a "valid" test for Prostate Cancer.
So How do they now determine what is critical? I guess if you continue to have symptoms or repeat UTIs, they will send you to their Urologist, who will examine you and do a biopsy.

It is probably true that infections, BHP, or other issues will affect the score. It's probably likely that you don't have prostate cancer, but it's something to keep an eye on. My own primary, aka Dr. Referral, stopped requesting them soon after the CDC changed their position. All he worries about are colonoscopys and covid.
