Afternoon All,

Back from the VA for Dad's appointment. Of corse about 200 yds from my subdivision entrance (only one) we were blocked by the police because for the 2nd day in a row some dumb ass teenager  called in a threat to the school. The high school sits directly in front of my subdivision and they have never been a good neighbor. After finally getting back home I find I have zero energy or desire to do anything. Before leaving today I did glue the base to the kit.

Thank you for the photo likes yesterday.

Dave- Thank you. The current plan is to leave the area as is because the siding next to the grass is my programming track. I may add a few cows as you suggested.

Hughie- Good progress on a difficult kit.

Joe- Thank you. It's only 1.5" x 1.75" and is going to the diesel facility by the RH.

Chad- With the piping down it's starting to look like a house.

Christian- Thank you. I'll start posting some past photos. The area in the picture is at the end of the layout peninsula. The curved track (I believe 20" radius) is the loop around part of a reverse loop (1 of 3) on the layout.

Willie- Happy Anniversary.

Alan- Beautiful looking diesels. I had to fight off the urge to buy a set.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Even royalty has a sense of humour.

On your 21st birthday in 1947. You said, that whether your life be long or short, you would dedicate you life to the service of your people.

70 years 214 days, you did this for us, you were Queen when I was born, and I would happily have died with you as my Queen, thank you Ma'm, you kept your promise.

You will be sorely missed not only by your people, but by everyone who lives you touched, however briefly, around the world.

Thank You Ma'm.

Afternoon all! Well, we ran to a few stores, nothing earth shaking.
Willie - You may be right. 56 the 17th of this month
We were at Walmart this afternoon. There are some tracks beside the parking lot. Just sitting there were 3 BNSF locos with 3 wind generator blades. I snapped a photo as we went in the store with the intent of getting some good shots when we came out. As luck would have it the train moved while we in the store.
Sadly the photos don't do justice to the size of the blades.

Back to you Mel!

We went out for breakfast. Milton, Wi. is about 52 miles and 45 minutes southeast of the homestead. We like local family owned restaurants, especially for breakfast. This one did not disappoint!

Then we went walking and this is the street we walked

the street was labeled as “historic” but you judge, I have!

Shopping at a local artist and craft loft in an old Feed Mill. 45 vendors with nicely done areas for displaying the wares. The wife spent $32, let’s just say I spent a bit more on a painting! No pictures but there was a WSOR train working a Grain train a couple blocks away behind the famil restaurant

Spent some time checking the news, sone cow actually had the audacity to say she hope she died in pain the institution she worked for apologised, the tweet disapeared, yes there are sone colonials and ex and wanna bes who no longer want to be part of her legacy, but then leave go, have the guts to do what you mean like the US, not dishonour a great queen when she passes :(
This woman is much loved, boo boo to non royal lovers, this woman did a lot of good, and helped many in the world, yes she is privilidged and rich, but she had every day of her life controlled by what she had dumped on her, it made her fathers life a horror, and she did it with pretty much dignity throughout, ignore the conspiracy and weird stories of the Diane, who was fine but the pedestal she has been stood on is a bit shaky, yes Camilla was a divorcee and poor Simpson got hammered for it, but that was a different time, and I am sorry to say Camilla was his true love, and Charles is a bit out there, but many ridiculed him, and now the greenhouse stuff is smacking them in the face, he tries his best again under difficulty, and yes he’s a bit awkward, but he and his son would not allow Andrew to get away with blue bloody murder (hopefully that is not a premonition as the bugger was far from squeaky clean) and Harry just annoys the heck out of me - I used to really like him but frankly I would be fine if the earth was flat and he fell off it. ~I suspect Charles will get media hammered, but hopefully in time his son and heir will get a more peaceful time, but knowing the press and the antI royalists I doubt it. for me my queen was truly great, she served us well, and did her part, hey and they the family offered some amusement along the way (not Sndrew ashamed of him) We lost a good one. You won’t find much better.
And a couple of the unions who were due to strike have cancelled in respect for her mourning, kudos to them,
And if that Scottish minx says anything nasty I hope she turns into a fish and someone throws her out to sea, right in front of another big hungry fish.
sniffles. I for one will miss her.

What pray tell, is cracklins?

True, I do live south of the Manson-Nixon line, but not THAT far south!
Surprised that you have never heard of them. Where I live here in Texas, cracklins are just pork rinds with the underlayer of fat and some meat still attached, and then fried. Besides eating the fried cracklins like popcorn, they are used quite often in Cajun recipes for bread and omelets. They basically are cut from the belly.
