I'm 67 at 13% body fat, I can do 10 dead hang pullups, a 4 minute plank, and bench 1.5x my weight. Life is about choices. It's no-ones business, but their own how they choose to eat.

Good morning, it's raining and 66, though the weather app says clear and 68.

I may need to rethink my choice of grocery shopping/delivery. I made my biweekly order for WallyWorld to deliver my usual stuff, adding a small bag of candy corn and a standard bag of Halloween Oreos. I attempted to order a bottle of booze and some egg nog for the holidays, but for some reason, they wouldn't deliver the alcohol to me, at any time or day. I have gotten it delivered before, though the last time I ordered any was in late June, for July 4th festivities.
I did get the Oroes and candy corn, though the unopened bag of Oreos had about a half-dozen cookies in the package, and the candy corn was a melted glob in the bag. It's hard to screw those things up, but they managed, somehow. I am getting a refund for the blob and bag or mostly air, though I wonder about the people shopping and delivering. Anybody could see there was a problem with them, and WallyWorld is basically forcing me to give the driver a tip, unless I want to go in and alter the strongly "suggested" tip amount. I guess I'll need to decide if my not wanting to subject myself to the people of walmart continues to outweigh the hassle of getting unusable stuff delivered.

I got an extra package of thin sliced boneless chicken breast with my order this week. One time about a year ago I got a box of Pampers. I called them on that one and they said to keep them, they wouldn't come back for them. I didn't even call them for the chicken, and marinated in lemon pepper marinade is what's for dinner today. Thanks Walmart!

Good morning out there! 46°F this morning and sunny. Another repeat of the last seven days. No rain in sight until Halloween, and their Magic 8-Ball wasn't certain about that.

Cleaning track later this morning so I can run trains later after lunch today. Probably sit outside again too. The weather has been really outstanding for Autumn, in fact too good for Autumn.

Running about 10°F-15°F above average and very dry. There is little to no color in any of the trees except for the odd maple here and there. Leaves are turning gold or brown and falling. No oranges, reds, scarlets, etc. Just gold and brown and then falling off. My walnuts have been shedding leaves for a month already, but they are always the first start falling. Walnuts and squirrels are everywhere too.

Have a wonderful Sunday.

Servus!

That's pretty good. I think I can still do the pull ups, I can do a 4 minute plank, bench is pretty much toast and according to my scale that checks body resistance, I'm around 25% although I pinch mostly skin.

Yeah, I eat what I want, but not much of it. I have curbed my spinach intake as that was out of control, drink lots of water and take Geritol twice a day! Haha, not really! I don't even know if that stuff is still around.

Good morning folks, 57 and sunny here, great day for Church. No Afternoon Service today, we are going to the Park this evening and having chili and soup night with an outdoor service.
Great news for Terry and you!
Great Series so far, but I do expect it to be a 3-2 return to Milwaukee, with the balance either way.
On drybrushing, do NOT thin the paint. Get just a tiny bit on the end of the bristles, then wipe that off even before beginning. Drybrushing is very forgiving, just take your time.
You guys have a blessed day!

I can't eat what I want. Or at least not a lot of it. If I don't watch what I eat it goes right to my belly. I lost an additional four pounds in the hospital and that put me at 148 and change. Currently, I'm at 150 and hope to keep it there. The weight sneaks up on you so fast and is so hard to lose again.

BMI is 22.5% accounting for age. It's in a very normal range, in fact, just about right in the middle of the normal range for my height of 5'-10". I don't know about all the gym exercising, but I can still manage 20 sit-ups and pushups, along with walking several miles.

I'm impressed with your statistics.
I'm 80, about 40% body fat, I do pullups every time I get out of my chair and need a bench to rest on every time I walk over 200 yards.
But that is my life!

Who was he?

I know I could look it up, but why? We have a resident expert here in the coffee shop.

Jeffrey would be proud.
John Mayall, aka the godfather of British Blues, was the leader of the Bluesbreakers during the 60's - 90's and beyond. Most prominent British Blues musicians went through his band for over seven decades, including Eric Clapton, Mick Fleetwood, John Mcvie and Peter Green all of Fleetwood Mac, Mick Taylor later with the Rolling Stones, and perhaps a hundred other musicians over time. He passed away in 2024 at age 91.

Good morning all!

A summer like day today. Currently its sunny and 58F. The high for today is going to go all the way up to 77F.

Only thing planned for today is to mulch the leaves and close up the pool for the season. We haven't used it since early Aug but I have not
put the cover on it or drained the pump and filter. I am really late doing this this year. Usually its done by a couple weeks after Labor Day, but
this year slipped off the radar.

Have a safe day everyone!

I do too and I hope she will be fine with rest.

Only she knows how she feels.

I think it would have been a waste of time from the little i know.

Reading that made my day!

The Brewers are the most complete team in my recent memory. They are not Harvey's Wallbangers. I think the 2026 Brewers are even better, their brand of baseball is slump resistant.

"It aint over till it's over" the Rays are resilient, talented and Kevin Cash is an aggressive manager. Not to mention I don't want the season to end!

Louis, thank you. I might have won a handful of discussions if even that in 54 years together

The WallBangers were fun all the time. I honestly don’t know enough about this team to comment on them but they are good with excellent pitching top to bottom and no need to break the bank doing it. Hitting is scrappy, timely and has a we never give up attitude. I’ve read about them daily this year but haven’t seen them in person or even TV until the playoffs. There is a definite feeling though but they need 2 more.

A very late Good Morning to All. Slept in until 0745 this morning for some reason, but I still got up before my wife! Probably actually woke her up when I got up.

Can't stay long because I am already late this morning. Posted this from the phone in the church parking lot!

Karl - Good luck at the Timonium show. I have always read that it is an awesome event.
Tom O - Daughters do have some quirks like the tailgating thing. With my oldest daughter, it is "brunch". With Mimosas to boot! Which I consider a waste of good Champagne.
Shortwrench - Great job on the figures. I am a big fan of using figures to bring a layout alive.
David (Marlin) - My wife won't eat rabbit either. It's not what it looks like, but what it actually is!
Kusojiji - I have never ordered from Maple Leaf, so I have never gotten an E-Mail from them. I came across their website when searching for figures a few years ago.

Jon Anderson, vocalist for The Yes is 82 today, he has always been my favorite Yes vocalist. Glenn Tipton, guitarist for Judas Priest is 79.

Everyone have a great Sunday.
.

Kusojiji lot of work taking out those bushes even with the backhoe. I put out 30 bags of branches and roots for the town to pick up, and we burn up a lot of the bigger branches. I gave the 2 workers doing the pickup $10.00 for their coffee break. Our new neighbor that just bought the house across the street a month ago installs fences and powered gates we may just pay him to do the job. Swal

In the future you'll be patting yourself on the back and saying to yourself "I should have done this long ago."
