Deer get the state hunting manifest every year. Before any season starts they’re all over the place but when the season starts they’ve made themselves scarce and gone on vacation.

In Illinois they are everywhere since we are in the middle of harvest. Pretty much every highway, interstate, and rural road. Really need to be vigilant
while driving from dusk to dawn. You could also see them in the daylight hours as well.

On my walk tonight i seen a dozen or more in the field West of our subdivision feeding on the dropped corn.

As some of you may recall, I posted a couple of times that my wife likes to paint with watercolors; and I have posted a few of the Christmas cards that she has made me. This year, I was able to intercept the Halloween cards before they were sealed into their envelopes and snap a few pictures. Here are a few of them, not sure which kids/grandkids they are for, it may just be a random thing!

Looks like today will be the best weather for the next week. Tomorrow will be cloudy, cool and low humidity. Then the effects of typhoon 30 will be felt with rain for several days. At least it is petering out.

Tomorrow is a run to the base for a pre-colonoscopy appt. Get the nice drink mixes that I love so much. Then to the commissary. I really want a steak, but since the weather isn't cooperating, I may go for skirt or flank. I can bake those. I hate frying in the house.

@Kusojiji ask the Docs if they have a new pill for that. They used it on me for my last colonoscopy and it worked great.

I do have one and use it regularly for steaks. Even though it'll be a quick hit, the high temp pan will still cause a lot of splatter. I use my 8 qt pressure cooker pan for frying when I have to since it helps to contain some of it, but it doesn't get it all. Unfortunately, my oven doesn't have a broiler. Maybe its time to get a propane torch.

Good morning all. Temps and humidity are back down, so AC is off, windows are open and fans spinning.

After I installed an ECONAMI decoder in my Kato C44-9W, I found that it jack rabbits out of the hole and starts moving before the sound started ramping. Kinda weird. I couldn't find any info on how to tweak this, so I wrote to Soundtraxx. They are very responsive and wrote a book of things for me to do. I'll be giving that a try later, after my brain wakes up. So far, I give them two thumbs up for customer service.

Since it looks like the winds have died down, I may be able to get some painting done. I'd like to get that done to give the paint some curing time before the peeps show up, if they ever do. I put a bunch on order almost 2 weeks ago and status shows as preparing for shipment still. I may just order another batch from the jungle site. I prefer the stuff from Kato, which I believe is made by Nochs. They look a lot better than the Amazonian Chinese stuff, even though they are tiny and cost about 4 times as much.
