Well, howdy there internet peeps and those wishing Tom's Terry a smooth procedure.
It's Troy again...
Signed up yesterday for another game convention this weekend. I'm going to Demo to get my second event of the month for my gaming discount.
So, I'm madly trying to put together a bunch of models of Norse inspired warriors... Remember, the Nords don't want to go to battle without a bath. So they all got dunked in a tube with simple green flavoured water, and scrubbed with an old toothbrush. Got to get the mold release off them. Don't want stinky vikings!
What's above is mostly stuff I don't have to assemble for this weekend... but it's coming!
My current paint is trying to assemble warriors with bearskins, carrying two-handed long axes. Picture the upper arm as one piece, the other upper arm as another piece, and the Axe with forearms and hands all one piece. Gluing those together, so they connect to the torso/shoulders in the correct alignment is a nightmare!
I'm using my little two-armed clippy-thingie (the "helping hand"?) and succeeding about half the time in achieving proper alignment.
In other news, the 2nd interview my wife had for the new position with her company got cancelled. The directors she was to interview with all questioned why they had to do that interview. All agreed: She's an asset to the team now, why wouldn't she be in the new role for the same team? So, it's all but a formality that she gets an offer (hopefully this week, maybe next).
She says we're going out for pizza tonight. Then I have to sit through the HOA board meeting. I'm trying to get out of it. Nothing I say will change their mind, and people just got the shared insurance bills, which went up and then there was error in the spreadsheet that breaks down each resident's cost based on total square footage of their unit as a percentage of what was charged for their building. So people are going to be grumpy now that they realized those with bigger units might be paying an extra $100 a year over what the folks like us in the smaller units pay for the shared insurance (grounds, liability, damage to the building itself). The joys of condo living.
