Good morning all!

Monday, Monday........

A cool, but clear fall morning. Currently its 37F but temps will rebound all the way up to 68F under mostly sunny skies. A perfect fall day. I see by
Wed we will have a stretch of 70s again.

Nothing much on the agenda for today. Laundry was all donr this weekend and I made it out yesterday to mow, but I'm sure something will crop up, always does!

Have a safe day everyone!

Good morning from the UW Surgical Center. I wasn’t going to post today but I need my IPadpro to read books so here I am. Talked to the doctor with Terry until they told me to settle in the waiting area. He immediately apologized about being sick Friday admitting when his mom was sick there were a couple times he brought her to surgery and it was postponed. He said he understood our discomfort with the weekend wait.

The Packer/CBoys game was on while I was working on a project last night and I really only paid attention to the extremely long penalty filled 4th quarter. Not sure this late into the season if either team is any good. I have disliked the Packer coach since day 1, 7 years ago!

We were told to expect to be home by noon unless the Doctor decides since Terry has agreed and I went along to take more of the lung than expected. Technically this is an internal biopsy. They will rush the samples to the lab and he decides on surgery today or another time. Terry has opted for today!

Guys thanks for the well wishes, hopefully I am back sooner than later.

Hang in there. Hoping for the best outcome.

Good morning. 38°F this beautiful Autumn morning. Should top out around 68°F-70°F today. I sat outside for about 45 minutes yesterday in the sun. It was a bit chilly, but pleasant.

Laundry load today and that's it. Might run trains later.

Tom, best wishes for your wife today.

Have a great week and stay safe out there.

Servus!

Best wishes. Hope that she recovers quickest. The stress on you must be enormous, so hang on!

Good Morning All. Clear and 50°, mid-70's later on. Warm-up to the 80's has been advanced to Wednesday. No rain in the forecast.

Cold at church yesterday, because pastor Father John is on vacation, and he is also the maintenance man. No one there to turn the heat on! Father Tim was visiting and only arrived about 45 minutes early. Otherwise the day went well.

To me and all of the places that sell it around here, 14/2 Romex always meant hot (black), neutral (white) and ground (green or bare). My house which was wired by the original owner of 9 months, an electrician, is all 10/2, admittedly purloined from a commercial job that he was working on at the time. It's really tough to do any work in the junction boxes with that heavy wire. i used all 12/2 or 14/2 in the train shed and barn.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I continued with the structure build.

All wall sections ready and presto...

Sundays are always short days out there, and yesterday was no exception.

Tom O - My prayers and best wishes continue to be with Terry.
Swal -
I had worked a freight on this same trail in 1969 and then they completely shut down the line right after that.
Are you saying that you broke it???
Karl - Quit counting and just do it!

One-hit wonder, Jeannie C. Riley (Harper Valley PTA) is 81 today. Doobie Brothers bassist Patrick Simmons is 78 today.

Everyone have a great Monday.

Sending my thoughts and prayers to the both of you.

At one time or another there actually was 14/2 without the ground wire. Think 12/2 always had the ground but knowing my memory as I think I do ....
Todd: Actually, Romex = 14-2/12-2; 14-3/12-3 came with or without ground. Most Bx was 14-2 / 12-2 with or without ground. By the early 1970s BX was generally used for HVAC applications and industrial use. It was available in both copper and aluminum back then.
Bill: As someone with a degree in economics, I would have to agree with the quote. Literally Economists analyze the past then attempt to create the future, and are mostly pitifully wrong.

I did confirm several things he posted about over the time he was active. Unless he was pretending to be that person, who also had a wife named Dawn, who also suffered a bout of poisoning during a trip through Russia, he really was who he said and did at least a lot of what he said.
I wonder if the travels became more virtual for them after she was poisoned, since it left her in pretty frail health.
Terry: I'm inclined to believe that theory. When adversity strikes, most people cannot keep their life style. Some keep it going through memories. If I remember correctly he also had some health problems. I think his layout was probably legit, small he always photographed the same scene.

38° under clear skies with a high today of 61°. It looks as if autumn has officially arrived.
One year, three months and 10 days to go.
Karl: That time will go by fast enough. It was 34° this morning at the Reservoir, and 37° on the front porch. So autumn is here. Weather forecasts indicate high temperatures this week will remain in the 60s.

Certain media outlets are pushing the idea of a Nor'easter developing off the coast of NC. However, the local forecast does not reflect the possibility. The National Hurricane Center is vague but indicates the weather we had over the weekend, stalled over the ocean several hundred miles off the Carolina, that is meandering and may or not develop into a Nor'easter or Tropical Storm.

Enjoy the week.

Keeping the pair of you in our prayers. 🙏

Standing by to welcome you to the land of perpetual weekends. I think Terry is about the same timeframe?
Only 66 more Mondays, makes the time seem even shorter! 😁

Anybody know how to turn the pop-up off in FireFox? Have been through settings thrice now. St00pid thing shows up on either side or bottom of page.

Also, I could not using the 'Image' icon at the top of the Edit/Add page to post an Image.

Morning all,

Been on since 6:15ish, but had a cardiologist appointment I had to go to and got back to a busy shop.
Never been to the cardiologist for me before, but he's concerned with some of my tests and wants for me to take a stress test and a sonogram. No stairs, no lifting, no fun until we know what's what from the other tests. Blood pressure was 116\78 so I have that going for me. He's concerned also because my "good" cholesterol is below "normal" range, but my overall ratio between the good and bad is normal. I'm to start taking a baby aspirin and avoid stress. Wife has already arranged to plant my but in my chair and stay there when get home from work...

Did spend part of the weekend watch the middle granddaughter play volleyball and then had all the grandkids help celebrate the oldest granddaughter's 14th birthday.

TomO: Hope all goes well with Terry!

ctclibby: That's been popping up on my Chrome browser as well.
