Well, doggies there rail fans! Woke up to a "pretend" shower this morning- a whopping POINT 5 100ths of an inch. We may have a couple more like that?t
60 degrees estimating 68 for a high with low cloudy.

Yesterday was an upset the old man day where everything in the bedroom was shuffled in and out!
The daughter had moved her bedroom set into the guest brdroom (looks like she is planning to stay awhile) and so that bedroom stuff was moved into the master and the master stuff was moved out to the curb to be picked up this morning. Guess where the frames, tables, lamps went ? U guessed correct - right into where I was trying to clear ot for my layout. Fortunately it will be sold sooner rather than later. The master stuff was a California King - the guest stuff was what she had when we married, a queen set.
As the Whoop-Pee is going bye-bye, we do not seem to need the King anymore. Long live the king - It had a good run!

LOUIS, You are going to love my next sentence! I have decided that with the two grandsons, 8 & 10, I am going to head back to my roots and set up a Lionel layout. I know that I am not going to have the time and patience to model much of anything, so I might as well have some fun with the kids!
There U go!

Morning all,

Been busy today right from the start. Barely in the door.

Yesterday the new washer broke out of the drain, so the basement was flooded. That can't happen now, but 2 hours later I had most of the mess cleaned up. Good news is the concrete portion of the basement got a good cleaning, bad news is the carpet didn't like the water soo much. Darn glad Sunday, first Monday is over. Carpet mostly dried, the carpet shampooer made a quick job of it.

69° and clear, going once again for a near record high of 87° later. Supposed to get some rain the middle of the week. That would be different. Previous predictions of rain have been wrong.

Good for you!

That will be fun for them, and you!

Be sure to post lots of photos.

number 90 light decapod, former Great Western locomotive:

MAC - was this a member of the "Russian decapods"? Sort of looks like one. My favorite steam Loco - Frisco had around 20 of them!

I've just been looking for a cleaning car, the big CMX is nice but too big for my layout, so I was looking for the Bachmann damage control and cleaning car that was mentioned a while ago.

I am sure you do not need me to say, but I will anyway (for others in the same position).

Make sure the layout can be operated by one, two or three people. Most of the time only one person will be there; the builder.
Keep it fun. If the children break anything (they will) do not get angry. When they move on to other things (they will) smile and run trains yourself.
Later, the children remember the good times and return. Then there will be Superheroes and Transformers all around the layout --------------------- Been there! Still there. 🤣

Good Midday All. Temperature here has risen to 77° and the Gulf has begun to get rougher. Many more waves breaking on the shore than this morning. Just returned from the grocery store, before our five housemates did, so we got the prime refrigerator spots.

Well an issue arose with posting pictures, there is no slot for the SD card from the camera on this laptop, one for the smaller type SD card but not the larger one. I also don't have a cable with the right plug for the camera either; knew that in advance because I don't have one at home and none was included with the camera itself. I will wait and ask the housemates if any have one before I head to Walmart looking for one.

The house that we're renting is nice, but all of the toilets are "lowboys", much to my wife's chagrin. I can go either way. Interesting thing as well, is that the owners converted a large downstairs storage room into a fourth bedroom. Even the hotels and condos don't have accommodations on the ground floor because of potential storm surge.

That's it for now, I'll be back.

Afternoon All,

Started out with a walk at 65F and currently it's 83F. Did laundry and a couple of chores. After lunch we went to Lowes got a gallon of trim paint which was a surprise job for me tomorrow. :( After that we bought 2 azaleas that for some reason grandson is planting for grandma.

TomO- Love the weathering.

Sherrel- Great photo. Good for you.

Mac- Great photos and video.

David- I hope you had a great time with granddaughter.

Willie- Enjoy the vacation.

James- Interesting video.

I hope everyone has a good night.
