121 brakes?
Do you mean the brake shoe lining size? If you mean self adjusting brakes then no 1976 wasn’t. Two things I hated was wedge brakes and self adjusting brakes. When your slack adjuster was wore on self adjustment brakes it was a nightmare I would take the pin out and made it like a regular slack adjuster instead having to stop and back the brake off several times.

Sherrel, one of the greatest joys of my life is having been being a pet owner. I agree the heart break of saying goodbye is painful, but it does subside with time. Eventually when I think of my pets, I remember the happy times more. I will never forget the loss, but the joy and love they share with us is far greater.

Having spent eleven years with Sophie was fantastic. I read something online that I keep reminding myself of "Stop grieving so that I can fully enjoy heaven" It is easier said than done, but I am trying and slowly succeeding. I know Sophie would not want me to be sad.

Every pet deserves a loving pet owner.

Good night, Everybody.

No 1976 wasn’t the year for self adjustment brakes and it didn’t have front brakes either came from factory that way I have the line sheet (Build Sheet) that came with the truck I was the second owner of the truck and it never had them
121 was the early requirement for antilock brakes. I've forgotten what year it was, but I remember pretty vividly an early incident involving the three trucks equipped with it, on their way to an exhibition. They were traveling together, and another truck passed them, and when he passed the one in front, he keyed up his CB radio, which caused the brakes in the front truck to freak out and apply. The other two trucks barely escaped ramming into the first one. Almost immediately after that, the trucks were retrofitted with RF shielding for the electronics.
Now that I think more about it, that may have been in 1976.

Nice rig,
Nice looking but not nice all. It had a 430 Detroit 2 stroke with a 13 speed. Wish it had a 318 in it never could keep the back half of the 13 speed tranny right one time It went out on me going to Kansas City with a Piggyback trailer of Mail from St. Louis and it took the main front bearing with it. This is a pic of my best friend and I changing out that tranny in 1995. Sadly he passed away last January of kidney failure I’m still not the same since losing a friend for over 45 years. I have no one to talk old trucks with anymore this new breed is something else. I’m the dude in front holding the tranny
