how high do those exhaust pipes typically extend above those mufflers?
Willie depends on that your truck is doing if your a grain hauler or end dump hauler and flatbed haulers there not very high so they can get into grain elevators and underneath low conveyors. Freight vans and livestock trailers stacks are higher so they don’t smoke stain the side of the trailer. Here’s a pic of my Autocar I had I put a tall straight pipe on it so the noise would not go into the cab. My brothers 1967 Kenworth next to me has short ones he likes.

That explains why I have seen such a variance over the years. Never thought about the end usage.

Hey Everybody,
I've been lurking every day and reading many of the posts, but I had nothing to say recently. Thank you, Everyone for the kind words about our Sophie.

Since we lost our Sophie, other than for work I have only communicated with four people. I haven't reached out to anyone other than my grandson, Ayden.

Many of you know our twelve-year-old Beagle Tucker is suffering from congestive heart failure. We have been preparing ourselves to lose Tucker. Waking up to find Sophie had passed on was a shock. For me it was like getting hit in the head with a bean ball; It hurt and was disorienting.

"Death comes like a thief in the night."

The good news is Tucker has responded to the medication and his kidneys are tolerating the medications. My old Beagle is doing as good as can be expected. I know he misses his Sophie, but he has been steadfast in his support of his humans. Only God knows how long he will be with us.

Chet posted that on my Facebook page. It is absolutely true.

Life will never get better. Our two beagles, my wife and I had reached the pinnacle. But each day life is getting a little bit easier.

My grandson Ayden has come to stay with us this weekend. He has brought joy back to our home.

Again, Louis, so sorry for your loss.

Afternoon All,

Started out the morning heading down to Tom's and meeting up with Bill and another friend. I had a great time as usual. After getting home from the library I did a couple of small chores at home. Tomorrow we are taking Dad to the airport at 9 am for his flight.

Lee- Great photos and nice-looking trucks.

Mac- Great photos. Do you have the WWII German military cars to go with it?

David- Nice layout scenes. Of course a British layout has to have a Inn/Pub.

TomO- Nice job on the cars.

Willie- Nice scene and vehicles. I'm not ready for a CPAP.

Louis- I'm sorry to hear about Tucker.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Afternoon Peeps! A warm 92 degrees here today under bright blue skies and a calm wind.

Making progress, but need to see the IT guy (wife's cousin) who lives 1/2 mile away to help me install some software and a program that I seem to NOT be able to get to work?

I once was fairly sharp with Win machines, but the keen edge is evaporating with each day!
The MAC I love, but don't know "crap" about it - and it is frustrating as all getout!
I am able to read something operational and then forget it before I finish the paragraph!

LEE - Those trucks are something! What year is your Autocar?
I would be afraid to put those on the road out here with all the crazies.
FYI - I would take a bowel of the spouses C&D (lol). Haven't had a good bowel of that in many years!

Already, You up Noeth guys ... Stop with the 40's temperatures - Those are our Winter!

LOUIS - I really feel with your sadness and loss of Sophie. I often wake up at 2-3 AM thinking about mine and the three prior to them in the early 2000's.
I think it was TERRY who posted something to the effect that the love of a good pet means a broken heart in the end.

I am starting to think, once again, about another to keep our Rosie (part poodle) that we got to keep Charlie company. We knew that Foxie's days were numbered, but losing Charlie first was a real shocker! One of the Sister-in Law's is on the BOD at the local shelter and they have so many dogs and cats who need a home. I know that if something happened to the Spousal Unit, or myself, that they would see that the pups were taken care of.

Better go for now - I have rambled too much!

Sherrel, one of the greatest joys of my life is having been being a pet owner. I agree the heart break of saying goodbye is painful, but it does subside with time. Eventually when I think of my pets, I remember the happy times more. I will never forget the loss, but the joy and love they share with us is far greater.

Having spent eleven years with Sophie was fantastic. I read something online that I keep reminding myself of "Stop grieving so that I can fully enjoy heaven" It is easier said than done, but I am trying and slowly succeeding. I know Sophie would not want me to be sad.

Every pet deserves a loving pet owner.

Good night, Everybody.

Louis. I have no words to say that others have covered. A couple years a my hunting Beagle had the same heart problems your does I kept her close to me her last days unfortunately she died in my arms one night haven’t had a dog since. Gabby was 13 years old.
