no words appear until I wiggle my fingers on the keys.
I imagine the games you play could spark ideas for your writing.

If that’s the case, wouldn’t your hobby count as a tax-deductible expense?

I was thinking about writing a book called "Creative Taxes by Louis," but maybe not. I've managed to stay out of jail this long, and I’m not looking to push my luck.

What a bunch of Scrooges!

Are they planning some scheme to jip you out of Christmas holiday pay too?
The new company will pay you if you use a PTO day. No holidays, no sick days. I also received the info about the new health insurance plan. Doubled premiums, tripled deductibles, no cap on out of pocket where there was a $10k annual cap… And they pay at 50% after the deductible, instead of the current 80%.

I had to go and check emails at the shop and was able to catch a train passing next to me after I parked. Portland and Western #2317 (formerly Willamette & Pacific) GP39-2 "Tigard" pulling a string of empty center beams to one of the local mills. Ironically, I was in downtown Tigard. All P&W engines are named after a town on the route. The flashing crossing is at a pedestrian crossing.

When I was in Norway back in 2016 after picking up our Volvo (RIP) in Sweden I bought some reindeer meat at the grocery store and some "jägersås" gravy mix (I think that is what it was in Norwegian -- something like that -- Jägersoße in German. Mushroom based creamy gravy). I made the meat and sauce and put it over noodles. It was pretty good. The wife didn't want any so she had some smoked salmon. (We had an AirBNB so did some of our own cooking).

And speaking of losing stuff, my P2K E8 has been on my bench for a couple of weeks while waiting for the replacement wheelsets. They came in yesterday so it was time to get back to work. Well, couldn't find the trucks. Searched everywhere for them and right when the E8 was going to go in the trash, I finally found them. I need to have a bin system set up for these long term projects. Cheap, $1 stackable bins.

I have my Gronk DCC project started with the electronics parts soldered up, but I bet that when it is time to get hot and heavy into it, I won't remember where they are.

@migalyto hats off to loyal fans, even from a White Sox [yeah, I'm originally South Side Irish] and a Cards fan.
Pretty good day at work, three of us there, so we could keep ahead of everything. I work with really nice folks, so it is a good thing to go in to work at a place that is enjoyable. Redeemed a nice condition Savage 99 from layaway today, been wanting one of those since reading Roy Chapman Andrews as a kid. For those of you unfamiliar with him, he is the real life dinosaur hunter who Indiana Jones was modeled after.
