All the tubs are loaded, stuff priced and staged by the garage door for loading. 8 am we will be loading the truck for a 15 minute trip to the local AG center for the train show. Easily enough stuff to cover 2 8 ft tables. I hope to bring very little back!
Wifey is going with me, she has made several railroad themed clocks and other trinket to sell, should be fun!
Good luck to you and the wife at the show today!

May you come home with empty totes and full pockets!

Good morning all!

A beautiful Sunday in store weather wise. Currently 40F with a high of 55F under mostly sunny skies. For the 3rd week of November
we will take it. looks like towards the end of the week some winter could show up.

Yesterday was a pretty productive day. I spent about 4 hours outside doing leaves, trimming evergreens and cleaning up all the
landscaping beds. Hopefully that is the last time for leaves, but 1 more may be in order depending if we get a strong wind and I
end up with neighbors leaves who haven't bothered to touch their yards yet. Got all the grocery shopping done as well. That was
a cart load with all the rest of the Thanksgiving feast items. Looks like the count is up to around 24 for dinner at our house.

Didnt get my new toliet set yeseterday. That will be todays project for sure.

Train time tonight for sure. Got to get back going on scenery started this summer.

Have a safe day everyone!

Looks like mole to me. I have had mole problems in my yard on and off for three years now. I hope they are gone, but I have to put out grub killer twice in the spring and again in late summer.

Good morning. Oder, Moin und Servus heute Morgen.

47°F here southeast of St. Louis, and a bit foggy too. Should clear in an hour or so. 70% chance of rain tomorrow. That means I might see two water drops on my trash can lid.

Going to visit the gun shop later today. He does a high trade volume so you never know what you will see from week to week out there.

Maybe run trains later this afternoon.

Have a good Sunday!
Definitely not a mole. Moles make mounds usually in rows.

I found this mummified rat while doing an inspection years ago. That green stuff is the rodenticide that killed it.

For some reason we’re waiting to de-ice. It’s mid 30s and hasn’t precipitated in a week. They’ll have to help us move to the next plane or hold it or we’ll miss it. Our layover in SFO is only 70 minutes.

We boarded in time etc. we’re just sitting out on the de-icing pad. For some unknown reason.

Anyway, it’s their problem if we miss the next flight.
The scheduled departure for the plane we’re on was 28 minutes ago. They said it will be 8:45 or so before we’re out of here. The next flight is only one terminal and SFO seems to be spiked so it’s not that far. Maybe we’ll get a golf cart ride.

Troy - I figure you would appreciate this as a fellow gamer. Our son's birthday (32) was yesterday and it was also the final tournament in his War Hammer league.
He had a good day. 3rd place in the tournament and 1st place in painted model/game pieces. The prizes from the manufacturer/sponsor were pretty generous too.

I must have a different species of mole. I have (had) raised burrows in the yard, but never individual mounds like in the photo.

I thought it was mole though, from the shape of the entry hole.

Buenos días a todos. Hay niebla y 43° aquí en Texas. That's foggy and 43°. We speak Mexican Spanish around here although there are several thriving German communities close by...our Catholic church is in one of them. No change in our weather forecast other than they have reduced the severity of our overnight thunderstorms tonight. We are still under a flood watch until tomorrow afternoon.

Running late this morning, as I went back into bed for an extra hour today.
Didn't do anything special yesterday, cut some firewood. I did get that errant tree off the road easement and fully in my yard, but I didn't cut much up yet, just enough to untangle the branches from the other good trees. Made the Prime Rib for supper last night. Sure was good but I didn't think to take any pictures.
Today will be about the same after church, maybe Father John won't be as windy this week.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I wasn't much more productive as far as the layout is concerned. I did run some more trains and I have reluctantly determined that I may have too many cars on the layout.:( 20 of my 23 staging tracks in three different locations are full except for 1 open track (for fluidity) in each yard. And 7 of my 11 passing sidings have a train parked on them. Maybe I just need another staging area! I spent more time under the layout, cleaning and organizing stuff yesterday. While that won't help the layout situation, it looks better underneath. Of course I will not be able to find half of the stuff because it moved! I do now have all of my unbuilt structure kits in one location and all but one details/parts storage bins are together. That other one is next. The unbuilt freight car kits and a few RTR cars are also all together, less than 2 dozen now. Unfortunately, or fortunately, nothing made it to the dumpster yet.

Karl - If you read this ahead of time, good luck at the train show.
Davis (Marlin) - Used Santa Fe engines got spread around quite a bit. Those 17 that went to P&W were part of their fleet of 106 total. They al;so had a lot of every model that they purchased.
Louis - You and your tools reminds me of one of my buddy's late father. He was a well-off eccentric business owner. I was in his barn one time and noticed half a dozen of every power tool, and at least a dozen 100' extension cords hanging along one wall, most which had never been used. I asked my buddy and he said that whenever his dad needed a bolt or other small hardware item, he would buy something more expensive as a way of thanking the local business owners that he relied on for many years.

Everybody have a wonderful Sunday.
