Mikey - Make sure that you get out and vote today. I get a lot of political texts on my phone, because the previous owner of the number donated to a certain party's cause over 15 years ago. I get them from candidates all over the country, not just local. I've probably blocked over 100 numbers since the beginning of the year.
Willie- I did go vote this morning.
Guess which candidate for Lt. Governor I did not vote for?
The one whose supporters texted me 14 times over the last 5 days.

Got home and went to pick up my pontoon boat that needed a gas gauge repair. I have to launch from a boat ramp a couple miles from my lake place and did not have anyone to drive the car and trailer home. I will have to do that another day when the SIL is available.

My chores for the day are done., so time to play with train stuff!

Good afternoon folks, 80 here and we have rain coming according to my back. Getting progress made on two project categories, one gaming miniatures and the second N scale stuff. The N scale stuff was getting paint and decals on some buildings. Today's projects are finishing a skylight for a building and getting paint on some people for the buildings that are 90% done.

Good Afternoon from a rain-soaked North Central Texas. Currently 64° with a light rain. Thunderstorm this morning before we left for Dallas deposited .3" in the gauge. Very fortunate that we only passed through a couple of heavy downpours early in the trip; before we got too far from home. Dropped off the car, picked up the loaner and headed home...two wrecks along IH35 made the trip longer. No evidence of further rain but the big one hit while I was eating lunch. Over an inch fell in about 45 minutes before I went for the nap. But first, I picked the first picking of Green Beans from the garden. While this one is just enough for us to have a "healthy" portion for supper, there's plenty more on the way and today's rain and cooler temperatures will make the crop quite bountiful to come.
Venturing out now for the train shed, to see what awaits me out there. Doubt there are any surprises.

Later all.

New panel is in. Everything is working.

The young-guy got to stay behind and connect the breakers making pretty little Ls in the wires. He made one mistake that the older guy caught. As he was labelling the wires prior to pulling the old box, Breaker number 2 had TWO runs connected to it (not a double breaker, two wires in one hole.

He put them back that way.

And the breaker kept tripping.

Old guy came back, asked him why he doubled it up when we now had spare breakers.

I guess running a dehumidifier, a laser printer, and two of the power packs doing some heavy recharging on the same circuit was too much.

I didn't realize the basement and the upstairs living room were sharing the same breaker.

The are now seperated. I should be good for now.

I do need to come up with a better enclosure for the new box. I'm tempted to cut the 2x4s around the box flush with the top of the box, and just put a sheet of plywood over the upper section. then paint everything to match.

Congrats Troy, looks good! Remember SIG Simple Is Good. Plywood and paint will serve you well.
Storms rolled through here too, power dropped just long enough to make have to reset the clocks.
I spent the afternoon touching up 85 N scale people who were suffering form China Painted Syndrome. Another 125 or so are still waiting on a mercy painting. I want to try to get them done before a 120 Preisser unpainted ones how up. Hopefully that will thoroughly populate the layout and two TTrak modules that are in the works as well.

That's why there are apprentices, journeymen, and masters. He'll learn, and probably won't make that mistake again.

Good day to all...........

Going to work on some structures today, a continuing deal, but getting close to finish on a couple. I received some LED lights from "WeHonest" on e-bay. I have added some exterior lights to my service station build but no interior lighting. Gotta get on the confuser and make some signs. That always takes longer than expected but worth the effort.

I think I'll go vote tomorrow and make a payment on my property taxes while I'm there. My county offers a four payment payout program on property taxes for folks over 65, so I took advantage of that.
There are a couple of folks in Texas politics I want to "vote out", so maybe my one vote will help achieve that goal.

64 degrees here today, windy with sunshine, a bit cooler than usual. Much needed rain in the forcast for Thursday & Friday.

Everyone have a great day.

John

Good morning. Well, the humid season is starting. I have the windows open with fans blowing in all night to keep the temps at bay, but I've been watching the humidity creep up slowly for the past few days. Soon, it'll be shut everything and start running the dehumidifiers.

Going to make a run to the lhs and get some cow poop and compost and till it all into the beds in prep for the next crop. Guessing rain over the next few days to soak it all in.

I guess I don't understand what LHS stands for. Can I claim ESL? I've been here longer than I've been in the states... I used to get train stuff at hardware shops before. Ace hardware was one of them.

My Mexican descent employee used to pull that on me all the time when he made a mistake! haha
