Here's the "nice" SAA. This has definitely spent more time in a safe than the field since 1902. It goes live Sunday.

They were two breakers in the OLD panel that were used as the Mains power in. So only 22 slots, we went to 24 slots, plus the mains above the other breakers.

If you look in the bottom left corner of the old panel, those are the two for the mains
Didn't really notice that. Interesting but safe workable arrangement. I've always been used to the main "IN" at the top with breakers of their own.

Just checking in, as promised.

The heat has put me on the bench. The AC leaves me feeling stiff, but the heat is risky for me. I’m uncomfortable, otherwise doing okay.

Thank God for MLB.TV!

Have a great day Everybody!
Still hanging without turning the AC on...but...I'm just vegging myself, 94° takes a lot out me. After listening to the Orioles blow a 3-1 lead in the 8th and be swept by Tampa Bay.

Looking forward to the Habs vs. 'canes tomorrow. Just reminded Habs swept 'canes season series 3-0. We shall see, eh?

I tried not putting the AC on, I woke up Monday night too hot to sleep. Even set at 79 I feel cold with the AC on. Hard to believe I used to set the AC at 68.

Win or lose I follow my Birds!

I just wish they would win more of the winnable games!

The bird isn’t too happy right now, and I’m not either!

After detail stripping the frame and cleaning it before the dip, it didn't work. I had the water at over 180 degrees, but that polymer formula Walther used for this model would not open up and take the dye. I had itt in the bath for over an hour, stirring it the whole time so it wasn't sitting on the bottom of the hot pot.

Well, if nothing else, I'll be re-assembling pistol parts and a frame that hasn't been this clean since it left Germany.

I think the raw polymer material used is colored and it's not porous. You can always rattle can it.😁

If you can be super careful, you can Duracoat the frame. Since it will take 180F you can heat it after applying the coat. BUT..be SUPER careful and do not get any in the frame channels. I fought for 2 weeks trying to get a Sig 229 running again after someone was careless and got it into the channels. Never could get the gun to run right.

I watched several unrelated videos on You Tube about dying polymer frames. Not Walther frames though. The YouTube video frames turned out really good. Different formulation of polymer I would imagine.

This frame has been painted twice already. It wears pretty well, but the problem is the shine the flat painted surface develops after carrying it for so long. Then you have to strip it and start over with a fresh coat. The Krylon for plastics wears really well without chipping.

Thanks, but I'd paint it again with Krylon before using Dura-Cote or Ceracote.
