Snarky Old Fart (in training)
Well, howdy there internet peeps and those with sportsball on the telly
it's Troy again.
Had an eventful day with some unplanned shenanigans.
Wife informed me that we were running down the road to her old hometown to put the flower saddle on her father's headstone. Ok. What's for lunch?
West End for sandwiches and PIE! Count me in.
While sitting at the west end, I noticed a nick in one of my fingernails. no problem. I keep a baby swiss army knife on my keyring. it has scissors.
But the darn scissors won't spread. I use this for cutting the tape on shipping boxes... probably just stuck with Chinese tape glue. All of the "sticky" that Terry's monitor tape was missing was probably on my mini-scissors, so I wedged the fork handle into the gap of the the handle, and put it under the table just in case...
A hard twist
And just in case happened.
The blades bounced off the other side of our booth, and into the aisle. WOW...
Took a moment, then I remembered that the last time I used the scissors was to cut the tip off a bottle of CA glue at the game store.
OOPS! Should have used acetone when I got home.
But, I still got pie!
Coconut cream for the win.
Sweetie's Chocolate cream pie slice was covered in chocolate shavings.
And, what looked like a clear day with overcast, turned a bit dribbly.
Sweetie normally takes the cleaner and the scrubber to keep the lettering free of algae. But she skipped it this time.
Flower saddle and illuminated angel applied, and then back in the car.
I remembered hearing that Whistle Stop Hobby/Train store was somewhere in the area... Sweetie remembered the old Whistle Stop ice cream place in Bluffton IN, but that closed years ago. So we drove home that way...
Welp... it's a liquor store, not a train shop. She looked it up. It's in Decatur IN, right down from where we ate Lunch at The West End cafe. DRAT!
At least now I have an excuse to go get PIE with my sweetie. And stop at the hobby store.
