My ROKU remote arrived today. It works OK, but you have to have it on a straight and level shot to the box for it to operate. Well what should I expect for $6.95. At least I can navigate through all stuff on my ROKU again. I'll probably spring for a new box with an improved remote in a couple of months.......too many other expenses right now.
I also received a LaserKit from e-bay, the "All American Service Station", kit #723. The kit is based on a real station in Harlingen Texas from the 1950s.
It reminded me of an old friend ( who was from Harlingen ) that I shared an apartment with back in my college days.
I have several projects to choose from today. Just hope to get something accomplished.
These are "cut offs" from a filament printer that are produced during the nozzle, warm-up/set-up time. They are ( at least on my 3D printer ) spit out the back of the printer to be discarded. I usually get 4 of these "wads" in one printing session.
I think I'll start collecting my "cut-offs" and weather them as scrap.
This is food for thought for others with a filament type 3D printer looking for cheap items for scrap loads.
Back from an underwhelming grand opening day. Some of us are already beginning to experience some retaliation for our objections to the "every Saturday" thing that was dreamt up by our shop foreman. looks like we're going to have to be on guard for any "gotcha" stuff, like I accidentaly put Friday's date on a work order instead of Thursday's date, and was called on the carpet for it. Another tech is also receiving special attention.
I have mine set to start at 2100. For some reason, I missed a lot of calls and alerts over the past few days and found that all of my volumes were down to zero. Side buttons are not working. Not sure what is going on, but it was nice and quiet...
I guess one man's garbage... Very ingenious. I wonder what the spaghetti (when a print detaches and the printer just keeps going anyway) can be used for.
Well, I decided to see why my phone's side buttons weren't doing anything. Checked the settings and found that they were not enabled for some reason. Turned it back on and no change. Restarted - nothing. Checked for a software update and there was one available, so I updated to the latest. Now it works. If I remember correctly, I had just done one very recently and am now wondering if that one had a glitch.
