Let me speculate a bit here: If I say to you "When you die, you will finally find out who killed JFK," it can seem somewhat innocuous. But it's political too because JFK definitely belonged to one party, and the conspiracy theories abound to this day.

As it happens, I DO say this very thing to people I think will be in for a surprise or two once they get to the other side. But I also can't claim to be "apolitical" either, and if I posted something like that I wouldn't be surprised to see it removed.

Nor will I be surprised if this post, too, is removed. To even discuss these days what it is about politics that divides us is like debating while sitting atop a powder-keg...and both guys yammering back-and-forth while smoking cigarettes.

This is a small forum with a small group of people of like-minded interests...and it would take only a small sized hand-grenade to blow it up. So I get it.

Try to look at it this way, perhaps: We all need to get along, and the mod's job is to keep us getting along. So far, I think it's working.

Copying from my own post above (and in case the first part IS removed...which I would understand):

I have a close friend who has a few rules when it comes to himself. #1 is: "Does it need to be said?"

That rule alone saves me hours and hours of grief and recrimination.

I get it. Terry was being pre-emptive. The thread was drifting too far into the realm of politics & politicians.

I was teetering on breaking my own rule about keeping my opinions on politics and religion personal.
I think it might have been too. Politics is a "creeping death" virus kinda thing, albeit very important too. But important, too, "out there. In the rest of...the world." It doesn't have to be in here, and for some this is a refuge from "out there."

This is a smaller world, with fewer participants and narrower common interests. Even music COULD become a flash-point if the camps were divided enough, but I don't think they are here, and so far it hasn't become one. "It takes all kinds to make a world" generally works here, and I think we would all like to keep it that way.

Well, howdy there internet peeps.

In yet another non-political post, I bring you the new FREEZER!

Wife did her homework, found the appliance store's website, noticed they had a scratch-n-dent area with several uprights and chest freezers in that section.

And this cute little fellow melted her heart... or froze it. (Insert Disney's "Frozen" here)...

It's the same as the one next to it, but a $100 less due to damage dents and scuffs on the front door.

It might buff out. ;) Maybe not, but why not save a C-note, and put it toward the $75 delivery fee.

Comes with the year warranty like the new ones. It's 16 cubic feet, with wire shelves. Wife is already looking at local meat markets for deals on grass fed local beef. I don't need an entire side... but enough to get us through the winter would be good.

Bad news is it shows up this Wednesday, so I've got to get my hobby desk and wall mounted shelves cleared and rearranged. That's more difficult that it looks because I don't want to just take them down. I've wanted to rearrange that area for a while, and now will be a good time for it.

Yes, but........................
.................is it hinged on the right side? Or on the left side?

[Yes, it can probably be hung off either side]

..................no....don't tell us. It's best that way.

We don't don't need to know on which side it's "unhinged."

Shifting gears. I'm trying to buy a vehicle off Autotrader and CANNOT get the seller's attention. I've posted a dozen chat's or more, asked for a test drive and have offered two (low ball) offers...and still nothing. I put up the second (low but ballpark reasonable) offer yesterday, but haven't heard a single response. Any advice about how to GET the seller's attention with regard to chat, test-drive, or offer is welcome. So far I'm batting 0-30 or so. 0.000.

If you're lowballing before even seeing the car in person he's probably ignoring you.

It’s a leftie

Which is good, because the basement fridge is a rightie.

That’s how we keep it balanced around here.

Now, the upstairs fridge in the kitchen has French Doors, and a guillotine in case any politicals show up.

Maybe that's a sign of how they do business. Time to move along and find a different dealer.

David-may also be on to something with the low ball offers.

Troy good choice but are the dents on the right, left or center of the door?

Did you read the deleted posts before they were deleted?
