Shifting gears. I'm trying to buy a vehicle off Autotrader and CANNOT get the seller's attention. I've posted a dozen chat's or more, asked for a test drive and have offered two (low ball) offers...and still nothing. I put up the second (low but ballpark reasonable) offer yesterday, but haven't heard a single response. Any advice about how to GET the seller's attention with regard to chat, test-drive, or offer is welcome. So far I'm batting 0-30 or so. 0.000.
Yes, but look at all the money you saved!
For TRAINS !!

Good evening. Nice to see I avoided a controversial event.

Today, I began the demolition of the Chester & Delaware, my most successful railroad, one I started around 2020. Unfortunately, It has to go so we can move rapidly should we get the right offer on our house...Also, the steps are becoming too much for me.

Did you read the deleted posts before they were deleted?
I did scan over them, yes. And if anyone wonders, I did NOT complain about any of them to the moderators.

Speaking not for the mods (I'm not one) but hopefully neutral, there was a slow escalation, I think. So when the mod worked it back up the chain to take down the original...I think that's what I would have done too in his place.

Moreover, I'm not going to accuse anyone of anything. Things start to unravel slowly, a single wrap of the yarn around the spinning ball slowly. But when they pick up speed, it's hard to stop it. No ONE person, or even two together usually start to blow things up...but they do still blow up.

Just MY opinion.

Troy good choice but are the dents on the right, left or center of the door?

If you're lowballing before even seeing the car in person he's probably ignoring you.
I can't even arrange to SEE the vehicle in person, that's the rub. But I also don't want to meet his asking price offer blindly when I can't even get his attention to commit to proving it passes emissions. He HAS to do that anyway in this area, even if he's a dealer...but I can't get his attention to even tell him that. Frustrating.

It’s a leftie

Which is good, because the basement fridge is a rightie.

That’s how we keep it balanced around here.

Now, the upstairs fridge in the kitchen has French Doors, and a guillotine in case any politicals show up.
I would have guessed this, given that all the low/bottom door frustrations seem to have been taken out by someone's right foot/toe. So...unhinged on the ...other side...

Nah. Gonna let it rest, as I hope we all will. Despite our differences we all have the model trains in common. Confident we will all remember that too.

Comes with the year warranty like the new ones. It's 16 cubic feet, with wire shelves. Wife is already looking at local meat markets for deals on grass fed local beef. I don't need an entire side... but enough to get us through the winter would be good.
Vacuum pack your meat in air tight bags. You can use a food saver but I just use a laboratory grade sealer and the silvery mylar bags. The meat lasts a lot longer in the fridge without the extra air/O2 in the bag. Also doesn't freezer burn or grow ice crystals. (Of course you won't get every last cubic mm of air out but you can get most of it out)

We've got a food saver off brand. I learned the trick is to freeze the meat first, then vacuum seal it.

I haven't been on much, other than doing a drive-by, and honking off people. The reason is the COO of the company I work for called a mandatory meeting at 7AM Thursday, and among other things, told everybody if they don't agree with the way things are being done, there's the door. Several people took him up on that, which now leave five of us doing the work of 12 people, which was already a short-staffed number. I've worked 37.5 hours since Thursday morning, with temp and humidity in the mid-90s, and my patience is currently negative.
So, when thinly-veiled political stuff started showing up, it was handled with extreme prejudice. And there was more stuff I could have deleted going further back, but I left it alone for now.
There have also been some posts heading into the religious arena, which I have for the most part ignored for now.

Well, howdy there internet peeps and those who come from mothers.

It's troy again.

Sweetie said she wants to brave the lines of people taking their moms out to lunch today. Her choice of venue: Pizza Hut. WILLIE: for the record, this will be our first Pizza in a week. I believe our last one was a week ago Friday, on May 1. Might have been Thurs, April 30, but the bank balance shows the debit card swiped cleared on May 1.

Wording some words this morning on chapter 11. Goal is to get that done today, then keep working on the basement. The sorting, arranging, purging, collating, and storage of hobby stuff is underway. It doesn't look much different, but several drawers have been condensed or purged, and painting supplies are filling them up.

When writing this morning, I needed a good Shakespearian insult for a character to lob at another. I settled on this suggestion from Timon of Athens: "Would thou wert clean enough to spit upon."

Ah.... the joys of writing about thespians. They have some of the best one liners lodged in their brains, just waiting to come out.

The good news is that you should get a decent check. You still on hourly?

Does seniority matter for anything? You just advanced if it does. But I doubt it the way the company is run.
Still hourly, and the only thing seniority does is give you a second week of PTO after 5 years, nothing else. You do get a piece of paper congratulating you on not being fired yet after 2 years, 5 years, and 10 years. Also, the company has found a loophole to keep from having to pay overtime. It's straight hourly pay times how many hours worked.

Good morning all!

Happy Mothers Day to all the moms out there.

Another beautiful day today. Currently 49F with the high around 67F. Not quite as warm as yesterday, but still pretty nice. Looks
like upper 60s for most of the week ahead.

Nothing really on the agenda today. Everything was pretty much done yesterday. Wife was still on the fence if she wanted to go
out somewhere for dinner or just stay in.

Have a safe day everyone!
