The wifey and the youngest sibling sort of got into it today over a Silver coffee and tea set estimated in the 5 figure area. No blows, but a lot of crying and shouting. Youngest sib does not want to share - trying to walk back an agreed upon division made yesterday.
I wrote about the crap Terry went through. Funny part about Terry’s sibling issues was we didn’t really need the inheritance. Something I didn’t know for a few years after she got that money from her dad was, she hadn’t spent a penny up till then. When she said at the trial that the other attorney basically called her a liar. Said that we spent lavishly and owned a big house on the lake. All info from the sibyls that in 36 years in No. Central Wisconsin they visited us once, at Christmas. It was a small one when we built in in 79/80, but it grew. Her attorney was prepared and really jumped down the attorney’s throat. She only started to use it to pay the attorney bills which a few years later the court ordered the sister to pay her back.
Both our kids know what is going to happen. The attorney who drew up my FIL wills also represented Terry against the 3 of her 4 siblings. His staff also drew up our living trusts and other some other real estate things.
I will be if need be my brother’s executor if he goes before me, if I go my daughter will do it. Anyone contesting his gets removed from the trust. His is simple 20% split between the 5 of us. That is My sister, me, niece, my daughter and son. If I go Terry gets my 20%. Every fricking contingency is spelled out Except his stupid car collection. The executor will handle that. He said he I can’t have it too easy when he is gone.

The Nationals have that second worst team ERA in the majors and the second worst record, no coincidence.
Keep an eye on the Astros. Their pitching staff has been excellent so far.

Wife rolled in to OB last night bout 2200. I woke for a bit when she talked with the gate guard. Made it long enough to hear the rain start. Wife told me that it rained sideways for about 30 minutes and guessed at 50Mph winds. I did not hear that part. Looking this am, the left side of truck and trailer are spotless; glass and chrome too. We are off to Lakeland FL bout 0700 this am and might not have to be back til the 31st. Because of the holiday weekend, we probably will not stay in Motels as they will want GOLD for any night. So I expect we will meander back North stopping at restaurant's with good parking. Ahh, life is tough!
Funny that y'all are talking about anniversaries. Ours is today or tomorrow as I never remember. Been together since 2000. Luck has it that if I forget, ( she has too ) we have a second date to fall back on. What? Says you: we were hitched twice, 1st time in Montana, then 2nd in Washington the next day. Had family and friends in both locations so it made sense to us. Montana is the paper signed legal one. Stood up out in our pasture with goats, dogs and kids as witnesses. Deer Park ( North of Spokane ) was the PARTY with about 50 friends helping. Host Ron even got us a one man band for the occasion. He was good, got better during the night too. Well that could have been the tequila. Everybody danced, played pool and foosball and generally had a blast; kids too. Funny thing about that day is she and I were both flat on our backs under the Dodge Ram fixn something an hour before all the fun stuff. We giggled for quite awhile thinking about it laying there with both of us in wedding attire - no tequila yet!

Specific things that heirs want, so the item can sit in a China cabinet?
Each of the estates I settled had item the girls were interested in. As the executor I told them I would let them determine who would get the items that were disputed. The items that they couldn't come to a decision about would go into storage until a clear decision was made. Nothing could be distributed in those cases so it could be sold. Consider time possession for the dearest of items and a schedule established for who would have possession and who would pay shipping if needed. In a few short years that time possession idea calmed the desires and the few contested items were conceded.

1st day back at the job went ok, still only about 90% better, but I'm getting there. Cut the lawn after work (tractor only, no weed whacker)

I'm jealous of these marriage anniversary numbers you posted. Just for the record, 19 years 1st time, 10 years the second time, and 2 and counting now. I'm liking how this last one is going, I think she'll keep me.
June RMC arrived last night. Great magazine! However they did note the passing of City Classics owner Jim Sacco. His long fight with cancer is finally over. I had met Jim 20 years ago through Howard Zane and got to be good friends. The 3 City Classics company houses on my layout were pre-production samples from Jim given to me to evaluate the kits and instructions. They, along with many other City Classics kits I have built or kitbashed over the years will always remind me of Jim and put a smile on my face.
Was on earlier and read the posts, but didn't get a chance to respond until now. Work is going to be crazy as I have almost 3 days worth of stuff to cram into a day and a half. Then next week I 4 days to cram a weeks worth of stuff into, not to mention 2 of our staff are on vacation...Just me and the new guy most of next week. I also have 3 new hires in the city starting next week as well...
Once the Meloxicam and Tylenol kick in, it will be garden time.

Takin a break from this morning's list of things to do.
Rounding up the tools to change my brake bleeders on my Goldwing to Speed Bleeders. Those make it easier to do a brake job. Ya only have to open them about half a turn, attach a hose and catch bag for the expelled brake fluid then pump the brakes. There is a spring inside the speed bleeder that keeps air from being sucked back into the caliper and only allows fluid and air from inside the caliper to be pumped out. No more having to open and close the bleeder while pumping the brakes.
Gonna do the Rolling to Remember ride in Washington DC this Sunday. Several thousand bikes will be participating. This replaces the Rolling Thunder of years ago. Political characters were pressing the organizer of RT too much. The results of his declining political soap boxing at the rally was denying use of the Pentagon parking lot to stage. Claims that security costs had gone up extensively despite no prior incidents requiring security and another claim that another group had reserved the parking lot for an undisclosed event on the Sunday morning. Might have been a Girl Scout cookie sale. Anyway, the new staging area is the old RFK stadium parking lot. I'll have several friends coming down from Detroit to ride in the event. Several of my local friends will be linking up with them at Quantico to ride up to RFK on Sunday morning for the rally through DC.

Louis: I suppose the Nationals also lack an analytics department, which they would use to screen prospects. If they do have one, everyone should be fired. Their pitching has gone form best in class to the where it can't go much lower.

Birds were shut out yesterday afternoon, hope they don't lose the momentum they were building. Of course, going 11 the night before, didn't help.

Karl: Only met him once, at the NMRA National Train Show, in Philly. His products will be a key part of my major industry complex when I get tt that point. He will be missed. RIP.
I gave up alcohol a little over 3 years ago. Lost 10 pounds almost immediately, then leveled off, as I was still craving carbs, and eating too much.
Then, as the carb cravings started to subside, I slowly lost another 10 pounds. This past 6-months or so, I've made a conscious effort to eat a healthy lunch, and I've lost another 10 pounds.
For the first time in over 20 years, the second number in my weight is a 7. I'm below 280. 3 years ago I was 310lbs. I crested 280lbs back in the 90s.
The only reason I'm typing this is because I'm amazed at what just a little weight loss has done for me. My knees don't hurt as much. Yesterday evening, I spent almost 3 hours weed-whacking for the first time this season. Most of that is going around the perimeter of a 1/2 acre pond, having to bend at the waist while trimming a good 2 feet below my feet-level.
2-3 years ago, I would have been so freaking sore this morning... But I feel great!
Sure Happy It's Thursday! Let's make the best of it!
