The fourth aspect could be a lunar white indication, in addition to red, yellow and green. Usage would depend on what signal rules were in effect on that particular segment of railroad. Personally, I have never seen one quite like that. However, the BNSF Rulebook should contain the aspects under signal rules.
Since it is from 2011 finding the right Rulebook might be tough. Lunar *usually* indicates that the movement is going into an un-bonded siding; at least with the BNSF in my area. Lunar is usually on the lower head of a route signal, as with an advance signal ( 3 over 2 Aspects ). I have not seen Lunar going into house tracks, although I have not seen them all:rolleyes: Guess that the signal in question could be an additional route for the house track you can see in the distance of my last pix. Note that Google Maps does not show the building in the 2nd pix ( way above ) nor the same track arrangement as in the last pix so can't tell anything more. Need an old BNSF guy maybe?

Afternoon All,

Well, the company can't get the parts probably until Monday (if then because of age), so I'm thinking we are probably going to have to get a new AC unit (not sure yet). It's warm in the house but all the ceiling fans are on, and we have portable fans that plug into the wall for bedtime. We rescheduled the Mother's Day family get together until the 15th.

Jaz- Very nice layout photos.

Ken D&J- Those shots are amazing.

Guy- Thanks :D. When we lived in Hawaii our house didn't have AC or heat and 99.9% of the time, we didn't need it.

Todd- Nice 1:1 photos.

Willie- Very nice layout scenes.

TomO- Hopefully the biopsy is negative and you recover quickly.

I hope everyone has a good night.

Good Morning All. Partly cloudy and a little cooler today at 63°, although it is supposed to hit 90°. Presently the NWS is not backing down from their forecast of 90°+ weather for the next ten days. I already cleaned and tested the window A/C units about three weeks ago.

It was nice yesterday since I didn't have to go anywhere! I did home chores like laundry, emptied the dishwasher and removed some stuff we haven't used in years out to the trash dumpster. I hate throwing the 30 volume Encyclopedia Britannica away, but none of the local libraries or used book stores want it. Added to that some of our old college textbooks also. While I have used them for reference a few times, they're not necessary any more with this new-fangled Internet around. After the dew evaporated, I got about half of my varmint fencing up around the garden. Of course I haven't had a visit from it since Tuesday night.
Getting the house ready for the Mother's Day visit tomorrow. Both daughters, one SIL and two of three local grandkids are coming for brunch. My oldest daughter is big on brunch! Eating at that time of day is disruptive to my internal and external schedule.

Thanks so much for all of the likes and comments regarding the last of the museum pictures; Chad, Steve J, James, Hughie, Sherrel, Patrick, Joe, Gary, Jaz, Louis, Smudge, Curt, Rick, Guy, IB Ken, OB Ken, Karl, Tom O.

My visit to the train shed was limited to just running several local switching turns yesterday. I just cannot decide what to do next? Should I continue on my large list of small projects, or tackle a multi-day one. I did finish the clearing out part of the underside and I can now run the electric cable to power the lighting circuit.
Today, I'll post some random pictures of rail.

Tom O - Hospitals here are not quite a draconian. Masks, yes. No tests or proof for visitors, no limits on visitor hours. Waiting rooms/rest areas on the individual floors have had the chairs removed, but the main hospital lounge has chairs spaced 6' apart. They discharge most patients in the afternoon when possible so they are pretty much ghost towns at night. It is somewhat eerie.
Curt - Bummer about the A/C.

Today used to be National Train Day, an observance started by Amtrak in 2008, but discontinued in 2016.
Everyone have a great day.
O old encylopedias here 10 set pieces sell for 10 pound each so 100,pound, can you rescue from the bin until it’s old enough, I have 2 sets one one First World War and one 2ww, one set had a book missing the other a complete set, I have sone original winston Churchill books he authored too, surprisingly my dads old carpentry books he bought second hand 1930s seem to retail for the best prices, not that I have any plans to sell. I source second hand self sufficiency books, from charity shops often only a pound or two but on evil bay you can lay a pretty penny. Goat care, chicken care, bee care, cheese making, candle making, making a rocket stove, solar energy, and one or a hundred on trees, plus sci if, horror, romance , cook book especially other countries recipes, you name it. You binned them? faints.

Afternoon,

Heard from the company. They found the parts but can't get them until Monday and will be at the house Monday between 10 and 1. They cut the repair bill by 50%. Not happy but it needs fixed. Then I can look for a new company. Can't afford $15k right now so it is what it is. Also, I can't do anything in the train room because it's uncomfortably warm even with 2 ceiling fans.

I just don't get these people, their guy misses this on the service visit, when he should have found and fixed it. 50% is reasonable, but not really satisfactory considering the proximity to the tune-up visit. No one has 15K just sitting around for a new system...they got ya by the nutz and know it.

Who is looking forward to the Kentucky Derby? I know I am!
I saw part of a pre-race interview with my old playmate and classmate from grade 4-12, Mattress Mack, discussing his bet. His horse came in second after he bet $1.5 million on him. We grew up together in Dallas about three blocks from one another and shared the communal pack of Malboro's during junior high.

double check that the [ ] icon isn't active. It's in the upper right of that bar, next to the disk icon.
Troy- thanks. Looks like that cured what aled me.
Good morning Shop Dwellers from sopping-wet central Maryland, haven't seen this much continuous rain around here in years; seems like the low pressure system has parked somewhere over West Virginia and will keep dumping rain on us for the foreseeable future. Soooo glad I was able to mow my lawn on Thursday evening!
IB Ken- feel free to send some of that rain my way. Almost the whole northern half of Wisconsin is either in “elevated” or “endangered” risk for wildfires.
Good morning fellow modelers. I did get home around 2 yesterday as the Hospitalist did show before noon. So glad to be home in my own bed.

Terry got me settled in at home yesterday and took off for a family wake in Rockford, Il about 90 minutes away. My side no longer does the Funeral Home visitations, we party in celebration, but her side still does. Not sure which is better but she did say it was sad yesterday. Her mom and dad came from huge Catholic families. Her mom was the 11th of 13 and her dad 8th of 14. So, so many cousins. We had a couple years ago a family (her side) get together, not reunion, here at the house. Almost 300 showed up, just cousins and families. They do gather about 3-4 times a year even during Covid which we missed

While I am not very strong I feel good. Tuesday, I get a Ultra Sound and a CT chest scan. They want a base line to watch from. Radiation depends on the biopsy that I should have Monday the results of. I don’t react well to Radiation as I get very sick for a few days and can’t generally hold anything but soup down. The doctors at the previous Medical facility called it Radiation sickness. As soon as I get the iodine pill, I start getting sick. One doctor thought it was mental on my part! But as I wrote before, better then Chemo. I also dislike the lemon drops I will be taking hourly for about 3 days.

I will walk into the train room today. Not sure if I will try to run or sit at the bench but I will get in there. Terryis asking if I want to try the Farmers Market circuit this morning? I am debating this in my mind. Maybe…

TomO
Tom- glad to hear that you’ve been paroled from the resort hotel. Sorry to hear the loss in Terry’s family. Sounds like Mom’s side of the family. She was 3/13(cheap farm labor- her grandfather was also one of 13). I have about 30 cousins(not counting spouses). We can have 150-200 people at a family gathering. For family funerals, we fill the main hall, side room & still have SRO in the overflow room at the funeral home.
Good morning, y'all. 50° rain (1.21"), and wind (30-35mph from NE). This is described as a "Coastal Storm".

NMRA NJ Division along with the Garden State Division are holding a meet at Camp Evans (Wall, NJ), just a short distance from me. Did not feel like attending, or streaming it....When I'm not feeling well, I'm not interested. Now I regret not going. Usually the NJ Division meets are in South Jersey, and the GS further North.

I did spend some time operating the railroad last night. Listened to the Radio Broadcast of the Maple Leafs - Tampa Bay playoff game - Toronto Feed - on my phone, while moving the transfer from one end to the other. The yard crew then switched it out, and made up the run to drill the freight house and the Purina Facility. Later in the evening, I watched the first three innings of the Washington Nationals - Anaheim Angels game on MLB TV. The LA pre game show was carried so I watched that until the game started. Then I switched to the MASN feed for the actual game. I was surprised to see former Mets Manager and Stanford, CT Public Works Director, Bobby Valentine was one of the analyst on the Angels pre game show.
Joe- you get the Bennies up your way, where as Atlantic & Cape May counties daytrippers were nicknamed Shoobies.

Good morning as well from sunny Halifax this morning. Weather has been getting nicer slowly. Been working outside finishing chicken coop and cleaning around the yard. Not as much train stuff right now as still painting parts of my boat. Building a brass rudder over the next week.

My friend is way ahead of me already
