Good Morning All. Cloudy and 42°, headed to sunshine and 60°+ later today. Rain in the last 36 hours has gifted me with 0.6" in the rain gauge. It was still misting when I got up, but has stopped now. Looks like clear and 70's & 80's for the next ten days after today.
All of my clocks (including analog) have "leaped" forward except the internal one which will take a couple more days. I never lose that hour of sleep, I have always lost an hour of awake! Yesterday's plan fell apart rapidly and SIL bought the granddog up before lunch yesterday instead of the supper engagement that we had originally discussed. So the wet paws saga doubled earlier than planned. Granddaughter wasn't feeling well, which we parents well know, always happens just prior to leaving for a vacation.
I am pleased to note that some of the Tomato and Arugula seeds that I planted indoors on 2-28, started peeking out from their dirt. Didn't attempt to set foot out in the big garden, since I am not expecting anything new out there. Waiting on Lettuce and Spinach to emerge. Much of my indoor time yesterday after household chores was spent on the computer organizing some more of the modeling photos.
Out in the train shed yesterday, I continued adding the clear styrene to the Model Power structure kit. In the process I broke the muntins in two windows beyond my ability to repair. I broke others but was able to fix them. So the house will now have 2 open windows to model. I don't have any of the correct size styrene strip in stock to make new ones.
I paused that project a bit before I burned out. I was already bummed out by the broken windows.
I turned my attention to another small project, related to the water infiltration last year. This is a printed backdrop structure that didn't quite survive. I reprinted a new copy on 65# paper to replace it.
Unfortunately I had too much "bleed-thru" from a black magic marker initially.
So I printed another one on regular paper and cut out the grain bin and feeder pipe to glue over it.
Mounted it to some Popsicle sticks and it's ready to go back on the layout wall.
Didn't mount it yet, but I applied Hob-E-Tac to the sticks, which should be ready after the overnight drying.
Troy - Looks like lots of room for growing tall plants on the LH side of the shelving! Hope that the grow light hangers are adjustable up & down.
Chad & others - No Culver's near here, closest one is more than 45 miles away. In-N-Out is a tad over 25 miles. We haven't been to either since fast food isn't often on our radar.
David - Nice remodel/rebuild to the Leeds Sovereign Street Station.
Marlin - The shows that I go to around the DFW area have about 25% visitors younger than me.
