It's been interesting weather. Last Sunday was up to60F but then it went down and its been upper 30s to mid 40s this week. Right now its 38F and was in the upper 20s early this morning. It's sprinkled and/or flurried on and off this past week but last night it must have snowed a little bit more. But it's gone now. These two pics are from 9:20am and 11am today.

Supposed to get a little warmer a few days and then back to snow and/or frozen mix for a few days next week. We'll see. Has not been that correct so far.

Well, howdy there internet peeps, and those who love pizza

It's Troy again

Guess what we had for dinner?

You'll never guess... OK. you guessed.

pizza 1.jpg

home made dough and sauce
in the cast iron dish, baked at 400 for 25 min
We did add a pre-bake of the dough in the pan for 4 minutes to help firm up the crust.

And the end result... sorry for the partial pizza, it was too good and I forgot to take a photo of the whole pie

Spent today watching an online seminar on how to set up "onboarding" emails for when someone joins my author list. That's going to take me most of a week to get everything together.

Told the wife I didn't want to build her 4:20 farm shelves until she had all of the tubs, and knew what went where. Setting shelf height can be changed on these units, but it's not the easiest things. More on that later this weekend.

I'm clueless because I can't imagine any company could be dumb enough to let you go.
There are several theories, one is that I may be one of the few that will give an honest assessment. Another is that since I am the only hourly employee, they may be looking to cut costs, since the company isn't doing great. Another theory is I am just the first one to get this, and everybody else will eventually.
Only time holds the answer.

Good morning from the Cheese state. 22f degrees now 50 later. It’s going to be a nice day.

The grandson’s hockey association is hosting his team’s PeeWee A State Championships this weekend. I was asked to man the penalty box doors yesterday as someone had to cancel. I said no. I was an association board member for 12 years up north while my kids played with 6 years as president (no term limits). I told the person I put my time in and we as a family have donated enough to the grandson’s association, I will just be a spectator. That didn’t sit well with this person and I had to ask them to walk away from our table at the restaurant last night. The granddaughter picked that gourmet place called Culver’s. The gd/s plays at 12:30pm and then at 5:30 of 6:45 depending on if they win or not.

The Badger women won their game yesterday and at 2 will play Minnesota for the conference championship on TV. Next weekend starts the road to the NCAA championship.

There really will not be time for any other activities today, just hockey

Enjoy your day

Good Morning All. Cloudy, misting and 42°. Radar loop indicates rain here for the last 2 hours, but there isn't any accumulation yet in the rain gauge. While the weather geeks are forecasting thunderstorms, it doesn't appear likely at this point. Maybe north of the Red River in Oklahoma, but here, one can never tell. High today of just 48°, and 60° tomorrow: then 76° on Monday and 82° on Tuesday. Yesterday was 82°. Quite a range.

Yesterday was spent mainly in the garden after some household chores. I did the final tilling of the east side of the garden where the Tomatoes, Peppers and Green Beans are going later in the Spring. I prepared the seedbed for the Green Peas which I pre-soaked and planted yesterday; and then I planted some Spinach plants that I bought from the nursery. Meanwhile some of the Radishes that I planted about 10 days ago, finally came up. I wasn't sure if I had planted too early or not. I expect to see some of the greens that I planted a week later, come up soon. Both are taking just a little longer than normal time to germinate. Parsnips and Carrots, neither of which I planted this year, can normally take up to a month!
Haven't started a fire yet, but I have a bin full of dry firewood ready for later this morning. Unofficially I have now gone through 3 face-cords of wood this Winter. That's just slightly below my average usage. I have that much already cut but not all stacked for next winter.

The raw weather will limit outdoor activities today, but I was prepared and have nothing pending. Later today, my #1 daughter and family will be here with the other granddog who we're dog-sitting for Spring break. The plan is to go out to eat at our favorite nearby Italian restaurant tonight; their choice since it's better than any that are near them in North Dallas.

The great weather yesterday limited my time out in the train shed considerably. But since it is right next to the garden, I stopped in occasionally to take a break. About all that I really got done was to paint all of the rest of the window frames gray.

Some of the windows also got the clear styrene installed, 5 of 17. I should get further along today.

David -
The Weather Guessers have got it right today! Rain. Rain. Rain.
Seems that they could predict that every day and be right more times than not. I realize that you are used to it raining a lot, but I couldn't exist with it. I gotta have sunshine!;)
Tom O - Great to read that the physical went well. Re: The penalty box door. My opinion is that they should be asking parents, not grandparents to man it.
Jay - Good luck at the Discgolf tourney, although it's probably going to be over by the time that you read this.

It's now raining enough for drips off the roofs, so there might be something in the gauge. Everybody have a great Saturday.

Well, howdy there internet peeps, and those in need of a "dump" of either kind.

It's Troy again.

Heading out in a bit for the Wife's shopping. She want to go stop at Rural King. We've NEVER been to one. But, with a name like that, you know it's gonna have all sorts of interesting things.

She's shopping for seeds and bins she can turn into planters. I suspect we'll end at Mendards as well. I just hope she wants to stop for a good lunch somewhere. I see a lot of HoneyDoo in my weekend.

Nothing exciting from my end to report. I'll post pics of the wife's 4:20 indoor garden facility as it advances.

Good mornin' y'all from sunny Cheyenne. It's 22 with wind chill of 10 under beautiful clear skies. Wind is from the W @ 12 with gusts to 14. Looking for a high of 45 and a low tonight of 30. No precipitation in the immediate forecast. Looks like a nice weekend for SE Wyoming.
Unpacked most of the remaining train stuff boxes, sorting inside stuff from outside. I don't have a lot of space inside, so for now bringing in stuff that I can put on the small workbench. Did manage to get some workbench time yesterday afternoon and evening.
TomO - we have a Culver's here. Burgers are so-so but I do like the fish 'n' chips.
Willie - always enjoy the layout pics and progress reports.
Y'all have a good day and take care.

I know we’ve had a great hamburger debate a few times here in the forum. I’ll take a Culver’s butter burger over anything In and Out make. Last night I had the shrimp basket, Terry the double Butter burger and Harper the granddaughter had her normal chicken strips and fries. It’s a great world out there!

Good morning all!

Not much time to hang around this morning.

Like Tom-my day will be consumed with sports. My daughters volleyball team will be playing the second round of regionals today. Its about an hour away so lunch and maybe dinner will be on the road today. If we lose the season is done and we have our nights and weekends back. I would like to see them go further though and try their luck with the bigger schools. They can surly do it if they play together as a team. They have done much better with that this year.

Have a safe day everyone!
