Well howdy there internet peeps and those with F or C degrees

It's Troy again

And we have too many F degrees!!!! at 7:10 AM

Willie needs to come get the Texas weather. It's obviously drunk and too far north.

For comparison, in Moose Jaw, Saskatewan, it's 56 fdegrees heading toward a high of 65.

I'll be heading down to the Allen County Public Library today to continue on with the ancestry search. I'm fairly confident I can make it happen. A lot of US census documents tie back into Canadian/British census docs from the mid 1800s with my ancestors listed.

The problem is no one was doing birth or marriage certificates in Upper Canada then. It was all recorded by the various churches. That's the part I have to go in person to Ontario to go through old records that aren't online just to prove.

But, I can get my ducks in a row here on the US side of the border before my teleconference with the Ontario attorney.

Time to shower. I'll be back later.

Sorry Troy, but I just have to make a prediction here. 180 days til the thermometer is empty of degrees?? When Moosejaw is chattering so hard the teeth come loose?? :D 🤪

Let Willie's Texas heat wander a little bit. It will make you appreciate the days that are sunny and 65°.

Good morning all!

Another scorcher today. It looks to be warmer than yesterday by a few degrees., heat advisory that was posted yesterday was changed to a heat warning. Currently its 79F and the high is going to hit 95F with 88% humidity. Pool will be in order this afternoon.

Normal household chores this morning. I have to go at 11am to get my yearly DOT physical for my CDL. I do it every year to keep it up so if I ever need it I have it all current as its a pain to let it all drop and have to retake it should I want to take a driving job of some kind.

Not much else going on. Stay cool everyone!

Have a safe day everyone!

Actually, the older we get (early 60s now) the more we appreciate winter. Wife will go stand outside barefoot in the snow when a hot flash hits. I look out at the front stoop and see lady footprints in the snow. Nicely melted. I tease her about the Yeti "Littlefoot" standing on our front porch.

I figure I can always add more layers, or put more wood on the fire if I'm cold. If I take off my summer layers to stay cool, the neighbors will pass out, or call the police.

Good Morning All!
59F @ 86% drizzle right now, to be +80F later.

@montanan Chet: hope you have other options - all the buildings you gave me are wrapped up and in big boxes which would be a true pain to find a specific one.

Maria was surfing Amazon and ran across a monitor deal. She asked me to take a look as she knew the current 22 inchers were small for these eyes. Yup, 27 inchers are now on my desk. Bright and shinny and I can actually see stuff even with making the font smaller. $75 each free shipping. Not a gaming monitor as I don't do that; 1920 x 1080 works for me.

Lil is pretty much weened but still not drinking water out of a dish. Probably getting enough moisture from grazing and it has been pretty cool. Will see what shakes out when the temps get into the 90's - next week according to the guessers. She does have Maria trained and still gets a bottle at least 1 time a day - think that is more for Maria than the goat!

Good morning folks, 84 here already heading to 97, HI predicted of 108F. LadyC is heading back to Conway as the Hyundai Dealer there cannot get their act together and so she has had to make 2 trips there, an hour each way. And especially irritating as it was due to their damaging the console. Got some work done on the TTrak module, installing an Osborne road crossing, boy they make nice stuff. Will add the basic gravel roads this afternoon.
Gonna finish the coffee. You guys have a great day.

Good morning. Sounds like here. 85°F/78°F currently. Looking for 110°F heat index later. UnGodly hot and uncomfortable here in the afternoons.

Trains ran well yesterday. I found minuscule cobwebs on some hand railings while dusting yesterday. Also some in my catenary. My small blusher brush took care of all of that in a hurry.

The neighbor that owned Willow brought over her toybox full of toys she hadrolled under the furniture. In it was a semi-hard ball about 2.5" in diameter on a leather lead. She went nuts outside when she saw that. She must have played with that toy for 30 minutes and was worn out afterwards. She hit the living room floor and didn't move for about 30 minutes. I'm glad I finally have something she will play with to tire her out.

It's been kind of rough on her since this heat wave started; we don't spend a whole lot of time outside right now.

Have a great, cool, Tuesday! Servus!

i have everything from slayer to britney spears to eminem
A man who is not afraid to admit he likes what he likes, I admire that.
The Digitrax Zephyr Express. I picked it up used from a guy who was upgrading. So far I think I'm gonna like it.
I almost bought one of those, it looked like a great place to start.

That is my kind of weather!

I enjoyed reading that, thank you!

Good morning, all! It's 88 with an index of 98 and day has just begun. It appears the forum is running normal. I got no "Oops" as I read through the latest 3 pages.

I just got a Asus mini desktop computer. I've spent nearly all day yesterday deleting bloat ware and install the apps I use. It is quite fast and looks like it will fit my needs well.

Deacon - Did you set up a Program track?

One of the many great tracks on the legendary hard rock album "Appetite for Destruction.".

I always thought Axl's voice was perfect for Guns N' Roses. It's a shame they couldn't match the success of their first album. They ended up being their own worst enemies. One way or another, they ended up becoming victims of their own meteoric rise.

Its officially swamp ass season and i am a victum.

How are yall doing? Its hot im hiding from the out! After some ozzy on the youtubes. I decideing if i wanna tear down the ho track as i have nothing to run except n scale or o scale and the n scale needs work so itll be the o scale.

Speaking of people who didnt age well look at david lee roth omg! Then on the other side you have sammy elliot that has to be a vampire because he hasnt aged in 60 years lol.

Do the locomotives still have the default 03 addresses programmed?
The defaults were messed up. I'm so new that I didn't know how to fix it. Got with an experienced DCCer and he got me up and running with very little effort. So well worth the effort and drive. The Kato unit is running around, breaking in and the BLI will get the same treatment in a bit.
One other good thing, gassed up on the way home and...

Good Morning Afternoon All. Clear and a little cooler this morning at 76°, a couple of degrees cooler than Troy and Mike! It's now 92°.

I got a different perspective yesterday from my visit to the PCP's office. I saw his NP and an intern NP. She took me off one of the medications and also told me to back off the statin to once a week instead of 3x. We also had a discussion regarding some of the others, but she isn't going to recommend anything just yet until the tests come back. The vampire took six vials of blood, so there's going to be a lot of tests. I feel that I am being "over-medicated" which is causing fatigue and some muscle and joint aches. My PCP is reluctant to back off any. The NP encouraged me to "experiment".

Pool maintenance today, as I need to find the source of the air getting into the filtering system that is causing microscopic bubbles that are clouding up the water. Nothing wrong with it but I'd like sparkling clear water. Mowing could also be on the agenda as time and willpower permits.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I just did some more detailing on the project area. I painted all of the asphalt parking/loading/driveway areas around the bakery. Ground foam is next. I need to look at planting some trees across the road behind the brewery. I need a few more on the other side of the tracks as well.

Troy - Belated Happy Birthday to your wife.

Everybody have a great Tuesday. Ooopsie! Need to remember to hit "Post Reply"!
