Good morning all!

Happy Fathers Day to all the Dads out there!

Currently 61F and mostly cloudy. Rain is supposed to be here around 10am and last most of the day. The high is only going to
get to 67F. Glad I decided to mow and do my outside stuff yesterday.

No real plans for today since pretty much everything was done yesterday. Probably will be downstairs playing with trains most of
the day.

Have a safe day everyone!

Morning all! Happy Fathers day to the fathers out there. I see the forum still has the shakes. Frustrating! 59 in the Brew City with a high of 73 today, rain this evening, so say the weather guessers. I went to Harbor freight yesterday to pick up that new tool box. I got a coupon for 15% off. Didn't get the color I'd have preferred but that's how it goes sometimes. We got home late, so it's still in the van. I'll unload it later today. I also found this:

Is that not the cutest dang thing you've ever seen? 🤣 I just had to. I actually have a use for it too. It's perfect for the most often used hobby tolls I keep on my desk when I'm working in my office instead of at the workbench. I used to keep then in a nut tin, now they can be organized. Not too shabby! It was like $19.95.

Good morning and I’m told it’s Father’s Day so happy day to those that are Fathers!

Weather seems nice but cloudy. 57 now 73f degrees later. The storms are about 60 miles south of me right on the Illinois/Wisconsin border. Radar doesn’t indicating them moving north

I have been around the world traveling mostly for business but usually got a day or 2 in checking out a country. To no one’s surprise here! I do have ISSUES with the current administration but respect the office not the man. We looked seriously in 2016/17 about moving out of the USA but not for politics but for schools for our special needs granddaughter. Under any administration the educational needs for Special Needs children has lessened since 2012. My sister and wife both speak Vietnamese, some Mong and some Thai. The girls, the wife, daughter, the sister, and my brother’s girlfriend made it a 3 week adventure the Summer of 2016 and again in 2017. The SiL, my brother and me we joined for 1 week of searching for a place with schools for the granddaughter in 2016. They started in Spain and then Italy. Moved to Figi, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Singapore, Mexico, Colombia and Chile. Let me tell you that was expensive. It was decided for schools Wisconsin for Special Needs children at the time was as good or better than most but not as good as Singapore or New Zealand. The daughter and family at the time could not afford Singapore and New Zealand immigration laws were different then than what they are now. I loved New Zealand, I refused to go visit VietNam, hated Mexico and Columbia was beautiful but too scary for me. Panama seemed like 2 different worlds, the Ex-Pat world separated from the real Panama. Besides the schools and the ever changing USA political climate the USA IMOO is STILL by far the best country in the world.

The daughter, her hubby, my sister and wife did travel to a few cities in the USA and educationally cities in Massachusetts and Minnesota compared closely to our schools.

The out of town layout work session for me today was cancelled. I now know we are going to the daughters at 5:30 for dinner. The Son In Law is manning his smokers and grills today and will have a steak and shrimp for me and the grandson, salmon smoked for the girls and brisket for the rest. His smoking and grilling skills are getting better and better. It’s a Father’s Day celebration as his dad and step dad will be there, plus a few of the neighbors, hockey and soccer friends are coming with their dads. The dads are getting our own menus! I was told last night we were going when I told Terry I was going up north again to work on the layout! No I’m not! So while I ruined the surprise it will be a good time. The SIL is the head chef, the neighbor and another friend are the co-grill chefs today. If the weather holds it will be a great time. Reliving past pool parties Terry told me the now in college former neighbor twins will be the head life guards. 4 of the Badger women hockey team will be earning some NIL money acting as life guards and watching the children! Terry says they have 50 RSVPs so a fun time

I can’t go over to the shop as it’s the backup space for poor weather.

Enjoy your day

After many years of being a somewhat content Digitrax user, I've picked up another NCE Pro Cab to power my layout. I've had to return the DT602 controller twice in the last year after the throttle knob internals went wonky. The first time, the right one went out, and I used the left until it also failed. This time, I'm not waiting. The Pro Cab system cost within $5 of what a replacement DT602 would cost.

Good Morning All. Partly cloudy and 73°. Happy Fathers Day to all. And Happy Solstice Day if you keep track. Mid-90's today, possible rain tomorrow and then a bit cooler until the weekend.

Hoping that the site remains stable until I finish this post. It's truly frustrating since I stopped all other model RRing sites a couple of years ago and this is the one that I remained on. Seriously considering giving up altogether.

I think that I have the pool chemicals back in line after yesterday. The recent rains and overflowing have wreaked havoc with them. Not unhealthy or anything serious, just out of line. After Mass today, I have to man the weedeater. Parts of the yard need mowing, well actually most of the yard needs it; so I have a choice of where to start. I can probably mow for about 45 minutes before I have to go and fill up the gas cans...can't carry them in the car with us on the church journey since the potential smell makes my wife ill.

I was out in the train shed yesterday, but due to the issues with the forum today, I am not going to attempt to post any pictures.

Troy - I don't know, but other than the socks, the four guys in that picture all look identical to me.
Terry - Do you really know what's wrong with the forum??? Are you having issues as well???

Matter of fact, I'm out of here. Everybody have a nice Sunday.

Welcome to the collective!

OK the forum is buggy enough I'm going to head over the MRH forum's coffee shop.

If this stabilizes, I'll be back.
You think the MRH forum coffee shop is good? Oh Troy! Remove the ex-Pat in Germany and 3 others and it would be decent but there are like 8 regulars there. They can go days without posting, heck here if it’s 3 hours questions are raised. But have fun and we’ll see you back where you belong later.

Flo please a bacon English muffin for me while I contemplate what is wrong with Troy this morning!!! Maybe the fixings on the latest pizza bothered him?

Yes I look there and peek into the diner once a day but rarely post

Good morning gang!

Happy Father’s Day to all the dads out there! Been trying for 20 minutes to get back into the forum with this buggy enough that we’re gonna have to call a pest control company soon. It’s really aggravating when you post a reply to another member and then can’t get back in.

Be back later, if I can.

I'm not saying it's better... but the forum works. This is the first time I've gotten to read posts on this forum in the last two hours. I get one screen that looks good, click a link, and after a minute get the error message for about three tries.

It took 6 tries and a page refresh to post the screengrab in this post. Now let's see how many times the bots hog the interweb pipe to stop this from posting?
