Well, howdy there internet peeps, and those with big blows of one sort or another.
It's Troy again.
Most of the ceiling gophers have been excised from the basement. I do have two ceiling panels to replace. Seems Troy put a spare piece of tape on one tile, while reaching way back off the step stool to place another. I'll remove that in a moment type of placement as he steadied himself for the big reach.
[Narrator: he did not remove it]
And I put the hole in the wrong tile. The hole is good on the X axis, but terrible on the Y axis, so it's not just a matter of switching the offending tile into the correct spot. I'd need to turn it upside down.
The ceiling is a mishmash of tile styles. Because I removed the old fluorescent fixture back during the pandemic. And I had to take what was in stock since no one knew if/when stuff would ship.
So, I've got the numbers from 2 of the 4 styles (once I realized they had stickers on them.) We'll see what's in stock when I go this morning.
I need to replace a couple of other tiles as well. One that is damaged from trying to move big boards into the basement and I forget that the ceiling isn't 8 ft tall. Another with an old Puck-light hole that I replaced.
Once I get those done, it's a matter of removing the detritus from the layout top, vacuuming up the mess from the ceiling tiles and wiring, and spraying more antarctic glacier distilled water at the remaining ceiling gophers.
In other news, my Bambu started giving me a Z-axis error this morning. I checked, nothing blocking it up or down. Tried the turn off for 5 second then back on. Still the error.
So, I ran an update on the slicer software. Running a calibration cycle on the printer. I'll double check and see if it needs a new firmware update. Hopefully a ceiling gopher hasn't gotten into the circuits. I'm almost out of antarctic glacier water.
