Afternoon All,

Started out the day with chores, laundry and hanging a couple of pictures. Just found out grandson is staying Tues/Wed night and leaves Fri afternoon. Thursday will be spent putting in another plant bed for my wife which will fall to me to take care of and Sat I'm meeting up with my buddies in Orlando.

I grew up with Mom & Dad only able to buy milk once a month, so they froze it. That made it taste like🤢. It was disgusting but we had to have a glass everyday just like we had to have hot cereal every breakfast for school (teenage years). Consequently, I still don't eat hot cereal and just started using milk on cold cereal (raisin bran) that I started eating around 2 years ago. The left-over milk is dumped.

Troy- That is excellent detail painting.

Swal- If you can't sell them try giving them away on the free section of Craigs List. What we did/do is have the person getting it give the time frame they would pick up then put the box at the end of the driveway. Easy and no personal contact with strangers. I figure it's better than throwing the stuff away.

David- Have fun with granddaughter.

Willie- Nice quick fix.

Mac- Great photos. MG is sure looking sad.

Terry- Careful- That's almost PRR blasphemy!:D:D:D Just joking of course- or am I? Bwhahaha.:D:D:D

I hope everyone has a good night.

OK gang, I'm looking for ideas!

I've got several brass locos that need to be stripped of old paint and refinished. I've got one that has been soaking in a 95% alcohol solution and so far after a week the paint is soft, but not lifting. My next thought is lacquer thinner bath, but where would I get a suitable resealable container. Something bigger than a 1 gallon paint can, yet smaller than a 5 gallon metal bucket.

any ideas??

BTW, The parts I am stripping have zero plastic parts
Tupperware container or similar

Signal towers, both at each end of the cross over switches (interlocking).

That's why i don't even make yearly trips to any of those buildings with doctors in them. What you don't know, woun't hurt you😆
I was at the dentist like 10 years ago and he told me that I could come in more regularly -- our insurance covered 2 visits a year for preventive maintenance (cleaning and checkup). I asked him "when was the last time you went to the doctor" to which he was silent and then acknowledged I had a good point.

Unfortunately, for many men, if it doesn't hurt, we don't go to the doctor. I'm mostly included in that. I need to repent, eventually, and see the doctor a bit more often for checkups. Once the house is done and that stress is relieved...

Back from the dentist. Tooth was solid and crown intact. Took 20 minutes to reglue the crown to the tooth. Dentist thinks it's possible that it got knocked a bit during my shoulder surgery and the caramel just finished it. Bill wasn't too bad. Could have been my share of a new crown.

Wife said I still can't have any more caramels...lol

My brother subscribed to that theory. He died believing it.
I look at it this way: we're all going to leave this world. I'd like to go out with my "boots on my feet". I eat mostly what i cook, with occasional go out food. I excercise regularly, i take regular breaks and try to get proper amount of sleep. I read and take it easy when my body tells me to, and i work physically at work and at home when i need to, all balanced as well as i can. No one knows the hour or day when we leave except one Entity. And we were told not to worry about our lives too much. I have heard from lots of people who decided to listen to doctors advice and get on pills for every little pain they experience...only to have one problem lead to another, more pills, more pain and the cycle continues untill the body is litterary unable to use its own immune system. No thanks😉
But that's my own way of life from my own experiences and no one is forced to subscribe to it.

Whereas Dawn worries over every lettuce leaf she eats, I eat what I want when I want and damn the consequences. I am allergic to food I love, such as dairy products. Do I stop eating them? Heck no! I love them too much. I eat them in moderation.
Another glass of Oban whisky then goodnight.

If I wake up dead in the morning the doctor was wrong. My x-ray said otherwise. 🤣

If that is so, Flo give everyone a slap up breakfast and charge it to the doctor.🤣🤣🤣🤣
