Americans have depleted their excess savings from the pandemic and are now depleting their credit lines as well. The St Louis Fed says the percentage with delinquent credit card debt has hit double digits and is approaching the peak seen at the end of the dotcom bubble So if you own a home in Saratoga, you rent the place out for 3 days and go live in a tent in one of the parks there. You take the $15,000.00 rental fee and pay down your credit card debt. Everyone else has no way out of the mess they gotten them self into. I read all these articles about what's coming in the next few months, it doesn't look good.

While I haven't been following that closely, I thought the only one of those was destroyed a couple of years ago.

correct, the russians have destroyed the one and only the BIG one from the Antonovs, it got destroyed last year when the war started..
But they have some more Antonovs so this is another one. I think (not shure) there are 3-4 left. But the biggest got destroyed, but i think i heard they are rebuilding it!

Unfortunatelly most people have no clue what "self restrain" means now days.

Good Morning All!

49F @ 69% and clear. To be 80F+ for the next few days, yuk!

Off to Sandpoint for an appointment with the heart Doc bout 0915ish. This Doc is a real kick in the butt. Maria and I both have him. 1st time we met him a couple of years ago he asked "Did you get your covid shots"? When we answered no, he said 'Good'. Just a routine check because of my 3 pass in '18. Lunch in either Ponderay or Sandpoint at a one of spots we know. Looks like great day for a drive. Will take camera with.

Self restrain: Boy what a can-o-worms with this. We know a few people that are making 6 figures and can not seem to make their current payments. They are dinging the V/MC cards. A couple have upwards of 30K now on said cards. Yes, typical with a newer house, 2 new cars and neat clothes. Went to a garage sale at one place, nothing but crap in the house. Man .. the card payment alone is almost more than we spend on food for the month and we eat pretty good for the most part.

I've been good at it but have this other problem of my wife's medical bills piling up. I can't make any decisions until they decide what Medicaid she's entitled to. I have no problem with them taking all her money but when it comes to my half I start to worry.

This is obviously not your fault. But i was reffering to general masses (my ex falls into that category). I keep finding out most men can live on very little. Most women are absolutely horrible with money, they just can never be satisfied. Most advertising is directed to women, because the banksters know how to get money from them.

Good morning from the beginning of another wet day in Wisconsin. The rain should have stopped per the WeatherChannel about 45 minutes ago. Mother Nature seems to have other ideas. From 6 till 9 last night there was 1/2” in the collection beaker. I have not ventured out front yet to empty it this morning and I’ll wait until the rain stops.

I think part of the issue at least in the USA is the media. They keep clamoring about how good the Stock Market is doing. Millennials seem to think that is free reign to max out the credit cards. The SM is not the American economy and the economy for the daily worker sucks and has no matter what party has been in the White House since 2016. Big corporations are posting tremendous profits off the backs of the daily worker. Just look at oil! The Stock Market is a casino for the wealthy and investment companies. They do well at it because it’s not their money they are gambling.

Enjoy your day

😆 That's why i skip garage sales nowdays. Usually i can find what i need in antique shops; like garden tools for which i would pay at least twice the price in Home Depot, or Lowes.
Ya, don't have many garage sales around here but when there is one at an 'older property' will stop and check it out. Yard sales and Estate sales are usually bust so we stay away. We also stay away from those newer houses; unless you can see stuff in the driveway or garage that look somewhat promising.

We used to be able to make a dump run coming back with more than we took. Found some good crap! Dump now does not let you 'salvage' which don't make sense to anybody as it lightens the load. .Gov wisdom I guess.

Terry is a great financial person. I’m terrible which is why I don’t carry cash. Cash is meant to be spent and I’m good at spending…

My wife is the same way. Excellant at money management!. She has gotten the house paid off in 16 years. 15 was the goal, but we were very close. Keeps the CCs to a zero balance and gets money into investment accounts every month.

Me, not so good!

Dawn is the one looking after our money; and very good at it.
Son and DiL spend money faster than they get it; which annoys Dawn more than me.
Daughter & SiL on the other hand earn far more than they spend (and they spend a lot).
