Heading to the game store later. Trying to get some words in on the latest story. I'm definitely going to be using the term "knickers in a twist" in this chapter. Just have to figure out how and where.

Here's some non hobby pics.

Actually quite nice here in SE Pennsylvania. We even had some wind during the day and rain in the late evening yesterday to clear some of that stuff.
After 4 days of smoke the air it has finally cleared up here. I don't know how the winds are still blowing down from Canada. There seems to be a new wind pattern here in the northeast. Everyday winds blowing down from the north.

That's NE Indiana. the little white arrows show wind direction so I'm hoping it moves out by this evening. I left just east of the orange dot that says 136.

Here's a non-hobby photo of my wife's watermelon

Congratulations, what brand did you buy?

How did you manage to not buy a new lawn mower before now?
Bought a Lowe’s Kobalt brand.

My first house, over 30 years ago, was in one of those HOA’s. They mowed the grass. (23 years) Then we lived in two church parsonages. (10 years) Now we own a house again and thank God there’s NO HOA, thus,I have to mow my own grass. Oh boy!

It's too hot outside. Alberta is on fire again. Edson has been evacuated for the 2nd time this spring.

Mel's not happy with the loss of long-termed, primetime, valued customers. If you get a rock with your coffee that looks like a hamburger patty, it's because he believes you are responsible for creating the toxic atmosphere.

Have a great day!

Louis - I love the old stuff, as you know!

The coffee shop is just too much, simply not enough time or energy to keep up with everything going on there. Also, issues with the censorship thing, talked it over with wife and we decided there should be no censorship. none. (I would go along with no taking the Lord's name in vain.)

We are all adults, so why not a civil discussion allowed? Everything but politics and religion? really, that is almost everything important to me.

If it is a coffee shop, it should be just that. I have enjoyed many real coffee shops with locals meeting daily to discuss current events, and there were no tantrums.

I know the rules and will follow them. That will effectively keep me out of the coffee shop.

Dave, I understand that! Just not enough hours in the day. Personal life, professional life and other things always keep us busy. Thank God, it beats the alternatives.

Censorship, I concluded it is necessary here in the coffee shop. Some of us can't maintain civility, I'm guilty.

Dave, you are a special person. In all these years I've never seen you get rattled by anyone. Remember that guy who was making physical threats to people via PMs? He never even got a rise out of you. I want to be like you when I grow up! :)

I support your choice. I will have to do better at keeping up with your layout thread. Thanks for sharing your work and for being you!

I have been thinking about Jeffery, aka Dr. FrankenDiesel aka Running Bear.

He has not posted since 11/15/2014. We lost him to complications from diabetes.

He routinely, daily if I remember correctly posted photos of his layout and other stuff. In Running Bear's Coffee Shop. His Frankendiesel creations, Tyco engines, cool vehicles on his layout and all kinds of things! One vehicle I remember was his HO Green Hornet car. That was cool! He loads of cool stuff. A Tyco engine from Pathmark and it ran great! He was a genius.

He befriended me, for no good reason. He and I were working on a project together when he went into the hospital. I have a box of train stuff still sealed and addressed to him I was going to send him. I still have that box. Jeffery never came home from the hospital. :(

I could go on and on.
