A pair of Chessie System/Baltimore & Ohio GP40-2's have replaced Reading 4-8-4 #2101 as lead power during this run of the "Chessie Steam Special" at Harpers Ferry, West Virginia during a fall day in the late 1970s. Photographer unknown.

Well howdy, there hot dog connoisseurs, and those who like their steaks rare to well done (keep the ketchup off the steak... steak that needs ketchup is just badly done meatloaf)

It's Troy again....

A productive morning so far in the wrong direction. I should be writing, but I'm doing anything but. This afternoon really needs to be a writing event to make up for struggling with the words this past week.

Anyway, we don't eat many hot dogs, though we do have one of the original Coney Island Dog shops around here in the Fort.

Wife prefers Bratwurst or Italian sausages. She's not much for onions unless they're in O-ring form. So I never bother cutting up an onion to grill with the "brats" of either stripe.

As for what I've been doing instead of writing? Well, there's too much hobby going on. When I put resin in the 3D printer, I always seem to run through an entire bottle of the stuff... There's just too much printin' goin' on!

My dwarven fleet needed opponents. And since I've got the files...

The orc fleet begins to rise from the ooze.

This one hull can be equipped with either a major gun! Or an Insta-chop-chop-grind mechanism. Orcs love to ram other ships...

I'm printing a second hull and sails... and even had room for the smaller orc ship with the big drill on the front... Did I mention that orcs looooove to ram other ships?

These are 1:700 scale. I might have a scene or two with one of the smaller ships hiding on the lake on my layout somewhere... hmmmm

Good morning....Coffee Flo, please. Tried to sleep in this morning after the Niece's wedding but, our cat Marky thought it was Monday and not Sunday and decided to meow to wake me. Afterall I must have forgotten to set the alarm clock and pre set the coffee maker for 5:30 so he didn't want me late for work. I took Friday off so that must have screwed his time clock up.

Good morning all you hungry people!

Flo, all this food talk has me hungry! Tony’s steak and eggs sounds good! Eggs over easy and steak medium rare please! Oh and a bun length kosher beef hotdog with diced onion and mustard on the side too please!.

Another of my chores is finding an alternative place for the clutter in the garage since we moved all the stuff out of the storage unit. Possibly a second shed in the back yard behind the garage. #3 son has just erected a shed kit that he purchased from Lowe’s . We’re going over there today to visit and inspect his efforts.

Morning all,

Had corned beef hash for breakfast and come in here with talk of grilled hot dogs and steak and now I'm hungry again. Haven't even gotten the dishes done from breakfast. Thanks guys.

Looks like I'm painting again. I've got the other upstairs bathroom almost ready. While it was done at the same time as the master bathroom, I didn't peel wallpaper off the walls, which then needed a skim coat to smoothe the walls. Better get to it.

Why'd the cowboy get a dachshund?

Good Morning All. Clear and 62°, thunderstorms are still in the forecast today through Wednesday although yesterday's didn't materialize.

I did the usual Saturday chores around here yesterday, usual for being chores, not confined to Saturday. Mowed the SE part of the yard over the septic tank and lateral lines, did laundry, and made an unplanned trip to town. On Thursday, I forgot to take the sample of pool water in to be tested, so I did that yesterday. Mostly OK, but I had to buy some stabilizer to add. I knew this already, but just didn't know how much.

Not much time out in the train shed yesterday. I did add a few more trees, but I ended up running trains mostly. I'm kinda putting off getting out the weed material, as it is a pain to add. Maybe today. Meanwhile more pictures from the archives.

Louis - Good news about your friend Willy.
Chris - Good luck with the rewiring.
Patrick - Leave the corn alone. these kinds of events strengthen it for the future.
Tony - Respectfully disagree, steaks should be medium rare, closer to the rare side!

Today is National Cheese Day. I love cheese of all kinds. My cheese drawer is always overflowing. I took a look in the fridge and started counting. I have Swiss, Provolone, Cheddar, Sharp Cheddar, White Cheddar, Irish Cheddar, Monterey Jack, Brick, Mozzarella, Muenster, American slices, Blue Cheese, Parmesan, Colby, Romano, Gouda, Cream Cheese, Pepper Jack, Asiago, Ricotta, Havarti, Brie, and probably a few others that I can't dig out right now. That's over 20, maybe more if I count Cottage Cheese.
Everybody have a great Sunday.

I give up, really I do, I can't get anything right this weekend, salvaged nearly all the light's from yesterday's debacle, bar 2X3v lamps, and one 12v SMD, sorted them out, replaced the working ones into the building, double checked they all still worked.👍🙂 happy day's

Noticed the building was coming apart at the seams (literally) with all the recent handling, yep no problem, I've got some JB weld, I'll use that to strengthen the corner joint's, mixed, applied, smoothed out, lovely job, well done me.

I've just gone to put the tubes away and realised I've used the wrong JB weld, this JB weld I ordered some time ago and ordered the wrong one, this JB Weld is for Steel I'm sure it will still work (🤞) But I think it may take a while to set, like 7-10 day's maybe. Oh! Ballderdash.:(

Anyone want's me, I'll be in the corner shaking my head, and wishing I still drank.

Any of you'se guys that live/lived in the New York City area remember the hot dog vendors with their hot dog carts? A dog with sauerkraut and mustard. There was just something about them that tasted so good. Maybe it was that nasty looking water they were boiled in?
Dirty water dogs! The last time I was in New York they still had street vendors with hotdog carts.

Surprisingly, I don't like New York hotdogs. The ones I had were beef. I don't like beef hotdogs boiled. My wife loves them! The great thing about New York is that you can get a good slice of pizza as easily as you can get a hotdog.

That is a dad joke if I ever heard one!

Take a day off my friend, you need a break!

God lord Willie, are you a cheese monger?

My favorites are New York Extra Sharp Cheddar and Land O Lakes American. That reminds me of our Garry. He was upset when Land o Lakes took the pretty Indian lady off their butter packaging. I miss Garry. I don't care about the packaging, just don't change the butter!

My wife likes a lot of those "obscure" (to me) cheeses you have. She would sit with you, some fruit and wine. She would be a happy girl!

Afternoon All,

Currently 84F and humid. It looks like the major rain we were supposed to get didn't happen. Today I did some chores then goofed off. The next box of Super Trees is supposed to be here Wednesday. Tomorrow the tree trimmers will be here around 8 am.

Louis- My go to hotdog is Nathans. I'm not a big sausage fan and if I have "breakfast" sausage it's usually turkey based. Interesting photo. The crossbucks look like they are orientated to the tracks instead of road. I'm sure it's a photo perspective thing.

David- Great photos, especially of the granddaughter.

Troy- That pizza makes my stomach hurt just looking at it. 😲

Willie- Nice scenes and that's a lot of cheese.

Smudge- We've all done things like that.

Here's a picture of Roxie the rescue skunk trying to hog my chair today. While I was taking this photo, I accidently dropped the phone on her, and she never flinched. I wish I could sleep like that.;)🦨

I hope everyone has a good night.
