Good Monday morning, Coffee Shop! It's 67°F (19°C) and partly cloudy. :cool:

Weather today will be partly cloudy toward daybreak then becoming mostly cloudy. Patchy fog toward daybreak. A chance of showers and thunderstorms. Humid with highs in the upper 80s. Southwest winds 10 to 15 mph with gusts up to 25 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.

Good morning from Wisconsin! No need to swim this morning. At 94% humidity I can swim on my deck chair! 79f degrees feels like 87 and is heading to 93 with a heat index over 100. Yikes! The WeatherChannel app says the wind is at 7mph but the leaves on the trees are not blowing

The pool temperature yesterday at 5pm was 91 and too warm for me as I felt like I was swimming in bathtub water. I left the cover off over night.

The granddog is out running his invisible fenced 2 acres and I tested the boundaries yesterday with him. He definitely knows when to stop.

I parked our car in the kid’s garage last night and I drove home one of the ATV’s. Glad I did as there are a few driveway guys here staking everything out around 6:10. Watching the big equipment work has always been a thrill and even at 73 years old I’m looking forward to it.

We Are going to the movie Odyssey on Tuesday. Almost 3 hours of film and 25 minutes of new movie trailers and ads per our ticket. I found a Wisconsin based IMAX theater for this movie. Turns out our local AMC is 3 miles away has IMAX. I read an online article about the movie being filmed in 70mm and how few theaters are remaining that use 70mm but we have one close by. I don’t quite understand as theaters are digital not film on reels any longer? Terry waited too long last week to buy our tickets and except for the 10am showing the only tickets available were singles and the front 3-4 rows. We passed

I got the Thermacells to use as mosquito repellant. The instructions say in 4mph breezes the thermacells are not effective as mosquitos have difficulty flying in breezes. Since the winds were at 10 plus there was no testing yesterday. Maybe this evening.

While the granddog runs and does his business I have been sitting under the trees. I mentioned in a text Saturday to the daughter they need a picnic area out here. I was directed about 300’ to the east from where I had a couple chairs set up. A patio blocked sitting area totally covered by leaves and tree debris. It’s too hot to clean it up right but walked up to get a yard blower and blow off the area. Better yet the Internet service is better in this spot. Speedtest shows good speed!

As soon as I fired up the blower back pack granddog Crosby took off to get away from me. He’s a good one! Loves to chase a ball and will retrieve a soccer ball by dribbling using his legs and face(nose/snout) back to me. He tires of the soccer ball after a couple times but the rubber ball he’ll retrieve anytime I throw it

Good Morning All. Clear and 75°. High today is again forecast to be 102°, but it only made 99° yesterday. The ongoing heat advisory remains in place.

Short activity day yesterday, as church occupies the whole morning. The service itself isn't usually too long, but getting dressed, socializing and the trip to and from takes extra time. I did get another load of "burn trash" done and the usual bed linen laundry. Watered the parts of the yard closest to the house as a grass fire deterrent. Otherwise I normally let the rest of the yard go dormant.
More of the same routine stuff today with no real plans in mind. I will spend another hour or so in front of the computer organizing and filing the photo library. Digital cameras sure have made memories easier.

Out in the train shed yesterday, I added more wire connectors to the lighting circuit. As I am cleaning structures, I am finding many more than I thought that I had, with lights installed but never connected to the buss. It has been one of those overlooked projects that I have many of. But getting under the lower level where I am concentrating on right now, is sometimes not easy! Not quite as mobile as I used to be. I can still do it OK, but contorting into tight spaces and the getting back up has become a bit more difficult. Onward I plod!

Morning All! 80 degrees in the Brew City this morning, going to 95 with 84% humidity. I can't see out the windows this morning because of all the sweat on the glass. The rain forecasted for today has moved out to Thursday. The grass is dormant, so at least I don't have to mow. The son and grandkids visited this weekend. Great times. Took them swimming, did stuff outside, even yesterday until the heat got to be too much for even their youthful energy. They headed out for home around 3:30 in the afternoon. I grilled a couple of steaks, and some smoked sausage, the steaks for dinner, and the sausage for later in the week. The Weber is showing its age. I'll probably need to replace it, either by the end of this season, or before the next one. My charcoal chimney also came apart, but that is repairable. Had a nice nap yesterday afternoon, and another in the evening then hit the sack. The little one's blend of zero patience, short attention span, and endless energy form a trifecta of exhaustion, but it's worth it. 😁
 
Good morning. Looking for 99°F today and a HI of 115°F. I have to pick up scripts this morning. I hope they call early. I called them in yesterday so hopefully I was somewhere near the top of the list for a refill.

Storms about 50 miles east of here came through north to south last night, and while we didn't get any rain, we did get at least one large gust of wind that blew over my patio table and umbrella. Damaged one of the umbrella struts, so I'll need to splint it with a piece of 3/8" aluminum angle and Gorilla tape. This one lasted three years. I guess I'll have to buy another one next Spring.

I remember one year maybe a decade ago, an unexpected storm came through here while I was at work. I never saw my patio umbrella again. The table was left upright, but the umbrella flew the coop, nowhere to be found.

Two more days of this heat for this week and then a slight cool off to normal July/August temps for a few days.

105° yesterday with feels like of 115°. 105° again predicted for today, but only supposed to feel like 111°. Got to an overnight low of 81°.

While not trying to be political, I'm getting tired of the AI crap. Making it dang hard to get computer parts and replacements.

I need to replace 3 host servers that were roughly $10,000 each 4 years ago, cheapest now is $91,500 with a 5-7 month lead time. I'm also looking at an upgrade to another server and need a couple of large capacity drives. We're looking at a 6-8 week timeline.

Keeps up and I only need to keep stuff running another 18 months and it ceases to be my problem if I retire at 67. There is still some discussion on that...

Spent some time with the grandson yesterday. At 16 1/2, his dad told him he could watch Deadpool, but not where his mom could hear it. I happen to love Deadpool, so we got the first 2 movies watched. His grandmother doesn't care for Deadpool much either 🤣.

Our 1st Weber grill lasted almost 30 years, 1975 to 2005 Charcoal fired and an absolute work horse. Replaced by one of the big 6 burner propane monsters Weber makes. Moved that to Verona when we moved in 2014 from North Central Wisconsin. Kept it until Covid and in 2021 replaced it because it was just too big. There was no problem selling it. We have had a Spirit Ii since and it’s just a great little 2 burner. Over the years replaced grill racks, vents and a wheel but easy to get parts from Weber direct and free bit for shipping

Nothing better than a Weber in my book

I know Patrick we’ve said it before but you will know when it’s time to get out. I think in your case I’d look at the area market your in for starting a small computer consulting service. You can work on your schedule not some employer if you go on your own!
 
Good morning all!

Another warm day today. Currently its 79 very humid degrees with a high of 92. Some scattered rain showers are supposed to move
thru the area around 11am. I guess it wont matter since the humidity level is around 98%.. A couple more days of this then we will
enjoy better temps for at least a few days.

Usual stuff around the house today. Nothing much else planned. Can guarantee no outdoor activities today except maybe a dip in the pool
this afternoon.

not much else going on at the moment.

At first I thought you were talking about the Clint Eastwood movie 'Deadpool'. That was a good movie. I don't know of any other deadpool movies, games, etc.

Weber grills are great kettles. Mine is about 15 years old and still looks and works good. It's kept in the garage to keep it in good shape.
