I saw this and all I could think of was getting one, gluing a couple of rods on the side and painting it like the Shuttle Galileo from Star Trek.
Great idea!

I’m proud to admit I’m a Trekkie, and the original series is my favorite!

The Shuttlecraft Galileo (NCC‑1701/7) was from the original 1960s Star Trek TV series. It made its very first appearance in the episode: “The Galileo Seven” (Season 1, Episode 16) It later appeared in several other episodes of the Original Series.

The original full‑size Galileo TV shuttle prop was discovered rotting in a field decades later. It was rescued, restored, and is now proudly displayed at the Houston Space Center.

“Live long and prosper”

who makes that one
It's an Athearn. Not very detailed, but built tough! Well, except for the traction tires. While cleaning the wheels last night, they cracked off. 1 year old. I guess that gives me the excuse to go search for the wheelset so I can totally eradicate the loco of the traction tires. Doesn't need it as it is heavy enough.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWWWWW!
Deacon wanders of whimpering......
Deacon, I completely understand your perfectly natural reaction. My wife had to turn away from the image right away.

I'm grateful to God that there are (sadistic ;) ) people smart enough to invent these things. I see this as the first positive step since the symptoms first appeared in early December. God willing it will be the last.

The wonderful lady that raised me "I love onions, but they don't like me"

Even with high humidity our feels like temperatures seldom reach that high. Stay hydrated and try to stay cool.

I hope so too and God bless you for taking such good care of her. I'm sure you would agree she is worth more than any Rolex or Corvette.

I agree 100%

When is it ever "all it needs"? Old classic cars are like boats - a bottom less hole you keep throwing money into. But they are fun when they run.

My latest surgery was a success this morning. Now I wait and see if it solves the problems.

It hurts just as much as it looks like it would.

@kbkchooch Things like this always remind me of what your dad said, "getting old aint for sissys" He was a wise man.
Looks like something a sadist from 1850 would invent to treat STDs.

Does any one know the in and outs of computers im looking at gameing computers and laptops as i get my budget set what spec would run best for rather minimal spec games like older command and conquer and the such.
I am far from being a computer expert. My knowledge is limited and most of it out of date.

But i can tell you that you have come to the right place. Other true experts will be able to give you more current and specific information.

I can tell you Gaming desktops are generally cheaper and often more powerful than Gaming Laptops. And I can tell you most any recent model Gaming PC can run older games.

I almost wish it had been an STD. Even antibiotics costing nearly $1,000 a day didn’t help! At that time, they had no idea what was causing the problems. They’re still not sure, but the one thing they know is that it’s not cancer. The hope is that by opening a channel, they can relieve the stress that is causing inflammation in the bladder and prostate.

I haven’t had a good night’s sleep since early December, and the fatigue has been piling up, bringing along its own set of problems. I was ready to try just about anything!

Ok kool i know ill find the "computer nerd" some where here lol also just because i have to what you think about them cubs beating your Orioles.

"I could have had a Corvette!"

You can have my 2012 base Corvette with only 50,025 miles for $26,000. Excellent condition.
I am selling it because my son will inherit the car. He just wrecked his anniversary model Z28 Camaro. He has wrecked every car he has owned or destroyed the engine due to lack of maintenance. So if I leave him my Vette, I'm sure he will wreck it in grand fashion or won't be able to afford the repairs, much like the 1970 model Dodge Super Bee that he bought several years ago, drove for about 6 months and has been parked under a car port for 2 and a half years (needing a fuel pump) because he has no skills at working on cars. I love my son and he possesses a lot of fine qualities and talents, but driving and car repair are not his strong suits.

Good day to all...........John
Actually if I was in a car buying frame of mind, it’d be the Super Bee that would interest me. 🙂. Mopar or no car! I have a 2006 Chrysler Crossfire that I have a little fun with here & there, but she spends too much time on the battery tender. Plus I’d hate to insure either of those cars! 😳

There are a handful of us on here.
What you want depends on what games you want to play. Solitaire is a game, and so is Battlefield 6.
If you want general guidance, something relatively new, such as a Ryzen 5 or 7, 7th gen or newer, or an Intel I5 or I7, 12th gen or newer for a processor, 16 gb of ram, a minimum of 1tb ssd storage. For graphics, make sure the graphics processor has at least 8 gb of memory, modern games are video memory hogs.

If you go with a classic car insurer like Hagarty, it's not that bad. For me to insure the red S10 on historic plates, it's a little over $300.00 bucks a year. Of course the historic tags are supposed to be limited use (to car shows, parades, or to a repair shops) I do drive mine to work, because I work at the shop! ;) Still its a weekend toy for the most part. The Colorado is still my daily driver.

Son #4 drives a similar truck on regular tags and it has added $1,800.00 bucks a year on my policy doing so. But then again he is a young male under 25 years old. We can't wait til he gets a job and can pay his own insurance! Since graduation in May he has filled out over 350 applications with 2 interviews. The job market is a cruel place for a microbiology grad, especially since the current regime has cut a lot of the science funding. He keeps trying daily, and I tell him to keep his chin up. The pendulum always swings the other way, eventually.

Good evening all!

We are back from our dinner with my sister and BIL They wanted Red lobster. It was actually a little better than a year and a half or so since we had been there. The portions were much better but the higher prices reflected that. Im not sure hoe that restaurant is making it though. In our section there was only one other couple. I'm not sure as I didn't look at how many were in the other half the restaurant. Judging by us getting front row parking It wasn't busy at all. Still a much improved experience over the last time we were there.

Time to head downstairs and do some train activities.

Enjoy the rest of your evening!
