No. The Carls Jr parent bought Hardee’s a long while ago. They were please until that time.
Some Hardee’s were switched to Carls Jr. While there are legal reasons in Canada for Carls Jr it mostly comes down to which one had the stronger brand in an area. Also the Hardee’s management didn’t like the “edgy” Carls Jr advertising.
There used to be Hardee’s restaurants here in Utah and were switched over to Carl’s Jr a little after the switch long ago. But I remember when they were Hardee’s.
We don't have a Hardee's around here, but the one where we used to live was pathetic, The joke around town was they gave applicant's an IQ test and if it was below room temperature they would hire them.
Dang, thought I'd beat some to the punch on Chuck Mangione. I was into jazz in hs and played trombone in the jazz band. Always loved his music.
We still have a couple of Long John's in the area. Gotten way to greasy anymore. I used to work for Jerrico when I got started there. One of the first hires for the new restaurant. Building still there 50 years later and last I knew still open as a standalone. Their sign was storm damaged last time I passed through, and place did look deserted.
At one time Yum! Brands had Pizza hut, Taco Bell, KFC, LJS, and a couple of others. They had A&W and LJS and spun A&W to franchisees, which I think also bought LJS eventually.
Actually now I have a craving for LJS, love their hushpuppies.
Actually one of the best "lovers" of LJS' hushpuppies was an Illinois State Police K9, a big Malinois named Blitz. One day after an apprehension on one of my parolee's we all went and got Long John's. The K9 officer then proceeded to get a dozen hushpuppies and show us all what an atlette Blitz was by throwing hushpuppy after hushpuppy way up in the air. That dog would have embarrassed Michael Jordan!

We used to use Mals for bed bug detection. They would clear a hotel room in a couple of minutes. I've had them alert on coat hanging on a door. We found 2 eggs in the collar Velcro. If they alerted and we found the target they got a squeaky toy, so we told the customer if you don't hear a squeaky toy the room is clear. I had a large residential care facility that had close to 200 rooms. One dog would do it in a day & a half including employee and common areas.
Someone posted a version of this with the front 3. I had ChatGPT (after many false starts) “improve” it.
Great jam tonight upstairs. May they all RIP and may their families be comforted. All of them except Malcom (“Theo”) were older and some had health problems. They deserve their eternal rest and for some who had severe health problems it may be a release. By Malcom was younger and an accident. He’s the one I feel the worst about. Sudden unexpected death is the hard one. older people, often sick, had good lives. It’s sad when they die but not necessarily a surprise or devastating. More a release. But unexpected death of a relatively young person is devastating. And hardest on the families.
