Here is the last, for now, of the songs from my AI Band KAORI that I posted to YouTube. This is a Japanese Scat style Jazz Metal song. (Scat is where the words don't mean much and are used as an instrument. Words are used for how they sound, rhyme, and fit the song and not for meaning). I've moved this over to a new Channel one YouTube specifically for this band and I'll be moving the previous songs over as well today. These are "public" and not "unlisted" like the ones I uploaded last night.

Good late afternoon at 5:33 CDT. Just home maybe 10 minutes from seeing Superman. It was good. Maybe as good as when Christopher Reeves was Superman. Quirky and different from the other movies but it basically tells the same story. Much of the acting of the non-main characters was over the top but in this story it fits.

Not a waste of money or time especially on a 90f degree day with 96% humidity.

A quick dinner and then off to see the granddaughter play softball

So the gun shop I'm going to be doing their internet sales for called and asked me to stop by. I was keeping my fingers crossed that Gunbroker had reactivated their account, but that has been a big Charlie Foxtrot and still is not resolved.

2 reasons for requesting me to come by.

1. They received in on trade a West German made Sig P226 MK25 Navy.😙 The same pistol issued to the SEALS. It had the box, 2 of 3 magazines, aftermarket grips, and no paperwork. I had been looking for a non-polymer frame range gun and the price was too good to pass up.....for a reason.

2. As I was entering an older gentleman (found out he's 86) was leaving and had come in with a 7 page printout of his firearm collection. He wanted to know if the shop wanted to buy it. I looked the list over and there were several hundred listed included a lot of 1st & 2nd generation Colt SAA, special order Winchester 1892's & 1894's, WW2 1911's and a lot of various vintage stuff that had their original box. The Sig deal was for me to come along tomorrow morning and inspect 1 case of firearms (about 40) and rate them 1-10 so he can put a price to them. The seller understands there is no way to do them all in one day. I'm looking forward to it and it should be fun.

That's the gun shop equivalent of a lifelong Lionel collector showing up with a U-Haul full of Prewar stuff.

@Snowman That was a brilliant post. You summed up much of my thinking and reassured me I did the right thing. You also mentioned some of the reasons I didn't want to get my son involved. Bless his heart he would want only the best for his mom. As you mentioned those parts can be problematic. I remember him waiting weeks, it could have been longer for a particular video card he wanted.

My wife mentioned what she wanted to do. I found one that will do it, and it will last her a few years at least. Less than a week later the UPS man delivered it. I was surprised to see the box was so big and heavy!

As for windows 10 vs 11. That is beyond my pay grade too! My wife had an enormously powerful liquid cooled PC my son built for her, but it doesn't meet the criteria to upgrade to Windows 11. We both want continued updates and added security of Windows 11. Perceived or reality it will provide us both with peace of mind.

Now comes the hard part, removing the old PC and hooking up the new one. Which for me will be difficult. With my hands I often struggle to open a bottle of soda. Another reason building a PC myself is out of the question.

Thank you!

And thanks again to Everybody who shared their knowledge and experience with me. I appreciate it more than you know. Thank God for my train friends!

I would have gotten a Mac.
A promising idea for all I know. What I do know is I'm not ready, willing, or able to learn something completely new.

As a former Member of the Microsoft System Bulder Program and the Intel System Builder Program. I owe a debt of gratitude for all their help. The few years I spent building and selling PCs were the most lucrative years of my life and required the least amount of physical effort. I lost a lot of sleep, but never over worked myself physically.

None of it would have been possible without Microsoft and Intel. With their assistance I was able to build quality PCs that reviled any on the home market at the time. I consistently beat Gateway, Dell, Compac, IBM and others in price and made $1000 or more profit on each PC. Those were good times indeed! There was a large PC parts wholesaler in Chantilly Virgina that also enabled me to do it. I can't remember the name of the company. They no longer sell PC parts.

I offered a 100% money back guarantee. I only had to give one of hundreds of customers their money back. That customer kept getting her PC infected with viruses as she surfed porn sites. I gave her husband a 100% refund after wiping her system clean three times and reinstalling Windows 95 for free. And I kept her secret between her and I.

For me it is not a question of which platform is better. It is simply a matter of gratitude and loyalty. Both of which are high on my priority list.

Have a great Wednesday!;)

Good Morning All. Clear and 76°, might hit 99° later on. I say "might" because the NWS hasn't been correct very often. Only hit 96° here yesterday.

Eye doctor visit yesterday went without incident, still at 20/20. Lunch later with wife's sister and husband had three additional folks, sister's daughter, granddaughter and granddaughter's boyfriend. We went to their usual favorite, a sports bar north of Ft Worth near Texas Motor Speedway. Easy drive for us. Those two engagements killed most of the day but I did get time in the pool.
Tonight we travel to one of my sister's homes in a NE Dallas suburb to visit with my other sister and BIL who hail from Dayton Ohio now.

I made a rare morning visit to the train shed in between. I worked on some Blue Box gondolas that had rusty coupler cover clips. It is the result of the layout soaking last May after the tornado removed the roof from the train shed. Cleaning, filing and buffing both the clips and couplers themselves resolved all of the issues.

Tom O - I love English Muffins, but gave them up due to the 23g@ carb count. I've only tasted "Keto Bread" once when my wife bought herself a loaf. Yeeech! Like cardboard as others have posted. That damn loaf is still in our freezer and she has maybe eaten 3 or 4 slices.
I have also stopped making my own bread. I just don't eat as much and since tasks move more slowly now, that time is better spent on other things.
Re: Concerts. I went to a show featuring The Amboy Dukes in 1972, and Ted Nugent had the stagehands bring out 2 very large floor fans to blow the smoke away from him. He was very anti-drug even back then. FWIW Black Oak Arkansas opened the show and almost out-classed Nugent.
Patrick - I agree that napping is a good hobby. I've been doing it for 40+ years. At work, I shut the office door and put my feet up on my desk and took a 30 minute one every day at lunch.
Louis - I also enjoy grocery shopping, however I don't cruise the aisles. I have a specific list that I follow and only "shop" in the produce department. I have always just accepted the cost since there's nothing I can do about it anyway.
Insomniville - My condolences on the passing of your uncle. It's now time to celebrate his life.

Guns & Roses guitarist Slash is 60 today.

Everyone have a wonderful Wednesday.

Good morning from hot humid and now very wet So. Central Wisconsin. Before bed I checked the weather app and the highest chance of rain was at 4am at 16%. At 4:15 the thunder was loud enough to shake the house. I just checked our 16% chance of rain event put 1” in the collection beaker. Back from gassing the car that was at $2.99 per gallon but cost me 11 cents because of gas discount from the grocery store. We have to pay a penny a gallon. I know I paid for it somehow buying groceries but it still feels like I got a deal.

Because the rain chance was low I left the cushions out and they are now soaked. No way to sit on the deck this morning. Today is going be a nasty weather day. The high of 95f degrees will feel like 107. So it’s basically an indoor day until 7:15 when the grandson has a hockey game where it will be a nice 28 degrees in the stands. With the sun beating later on the cushions they will dry quickly.

Leaving at 8:45 for a local work session in air conditioned comfort. Back to our normal 5 as we’ve been missing a couple of the crew the last few 8 sessions. We alternate between this one, 6 miles away and the one 45 miles north in Baraboo, Wi. Normally on Thursday the sessions were but Wednesday

Showed the grandson how to mix a batch of ground goop yesterday and he did 90% of the work. He seemed shocked though it wasn’t completed. After his sister’s ball game at 9pm we added some latex paint over it. I told him we’ll work on it Friday again but we need to let it dry thoroughly. I told him though we’ll finish before noon on Friday but we’ll check it Saturday if he feels it will need more ground cover.

Enjoy the day

Morning all,

Typing this on my kindle and it really likes to assume that I can't spell.

I have PT in a couple of hours and we'll see how that goes.

Got a call from work yesterday with a couple of questions they over thought. Wanting to look good in helping the city council get into their updated email. Then none of them came in for assistance. Nice to know I'm still needed.

Supposed to be another scorcher later, with heat index to 105+
