My son was a member of the Pensacola NAS Credit Union, and had a Visa card with them. He was deployed to Iraq, over Christmas and attempted to buy a gift for his mother through a Jacksonville NC jeweler. PennFed refused to process his transaction and locked his card, because he didn't call and advise them he was out of the country. (This is a military populated CU)..... No amount of intervention swayed the CU.My bank/credit union has decided I shouldn't be spending money at my LHS. I went to the LHS yesterday, and made a couple of purchases. The credit union waited until after close of business, then locked my card about the fraudulent charges until I call them tomorrow morning after 9 AM.
You're in "N" scale, aren't you? I was referring to HO. They are more restricting than Walthers Shinohara Code 70 #4s that I use in industrial situations. That's why I stick with #5 and #6 switches in Code 70, and #6 when using Uni-track.I have 4 #4 Unitrack turnouts. They are wired in pairs. One throw operates switches 1 and 2 and the other throw operates switches 3 and 4. Switches 1 and 2 have never been a problem in any direction. Switches 3 and 4 however, I believe are to close to a curve. Forward through those is fine, but backing through some of the cars don't like it, in particular the long passenger cars.
It wouldn't surprise me. KATO has so many neat "N" track products. In HO, the #4s remind me of Lionel O-27 or Atlas 18" Snap Switches. BTW: The #6 Ho Uni-track switch that is powered is slightly different from the non powered. Not exact exchanges, fractional differences. I prefer the non powered for performance.I’ve heard that the H0 and N turnouts from KATO are different. At least in terms of their construction. I’ve heard that N #4 is the same as H0 #6 and vice versa. In terms of how they’re made. That’s what I’ve heard. I don’t know the truth of it.
The IV was for the Contrast for whatever they were looking for.Survived the trip to Tokyo this morning for a neurology appt. Had to be there by 0830, so we were out of the house at 0610. Luckily we were able to get a seat on the train the entire way to our first transfer and only had to stand for 3 stops, ~5 minutes, packed in like a sardine. (hate riding these commuters).
Had a CT with some kind of shot in my vein. Not sure what it was. Then I got an MRI. almost fell asleep with that one. Had the emergency eject button in my hand and almost dropped it. Had the foamy ear plugs in and they wrapped my head up so that I wouldn't move. It deadened the sound quite a bit as well.
Train ride back was seated all the way. First cup of caffeine at 1100.
Follow up for results on Friday. At least it isn't as early as this one was.
Happy Birthday! Donuts look great!Birthday donut has been consumed (two, actually)
Did you ask for your money back?Yea, her 8th grade graduation yard sign came 2 days after graduation.![]()
No, I figured I figured either someone got the order in late, or the place doing them was swamped. It didn't matter muchDid you ask for your money back?
We didnt either. These started showing up a few years ago all around town. I guess they now do it for 8th grade, high schoolWe never had such things when I was in school but around here, at least for HS, they seem to do it. We did t do it for my son (class of 21) who graduated from a charter school. I don’t think he cared. But I’m sure my daughter will want the sign. She is now at the local HS.
They had it for HS football players/teams around here for a while. Until burglars got smart and went looking for houses with the signs on football nights and helped themselves. HS football is a big thing in Texas and the whole household and neighborhood went to the games, leaving empty homes. And to this day, a lot of folks still leave their houses unlocked. We never had such things when I was in school but around here, at least for HS, they seem to do it.
This is the same credit union that has suddenly decided to stop paying interest, start charging me monthly fees, and add a bunch of "features" I will never use.My son was a member of the Pensacola NAS Credit Union, and had a Visa card with them. What your CU is doing sounds similar. The one I belong to is the opposite. I Locked the card to prevent bogus charges. Credit Unions are not what they used to be...
As banks continue to seek out higher fees from consumer accounts, while at the same time cutting costs, by closing local branches, consumers seem stuck in the middle. This is the same credit union that has suddenly decided to stop paying interest, start charging me monthly fees, and add a bunch of "features" I will never use.
I opened checking and savings accounts with Capital One back when I posted about this to begin with. The savings account pays 4%, and no fees to checking. I added $10 to each account from my credit union to get things started. The savings account money populated right away, and I'm still waiting for the transfer to checking. After probably ten days. They said it'll probably be complete by the 9th of July.
I guess the search for an acceptable financial institution continues...
It is great to see you posting again!Hello Flo and gang!!!
I'm still alive. Life has taken most of my time.
Looking forward to circling back to the model railroad world.![]()
My transfers between M&T Bank to/from Capital One usually take three business days. My transfers between my Capital One accounts are instant. Direct deposits to M&T show up after 9am the same day. Capital One direct deposits post after 2pm the same day. Unless like Friday, it is a holiday. Then they both post after 9am the next business day, in this case Monday. The savings account money populated right away, and I'm still waiting for the transfer to checking.
Thanks! I know it took a while to go in as they started rubbing my arm in the direction towards my shoulder to get it to flow faster...The IV was for the Contrast for whatever they were looking for.
