Man, your desk is just way too cluttered. I don't know how you find anything in there! haha

Current project - get the ditch lights to run separately from the headlight on Kato C44-9W.
How'd you ever get the photo of my modeling space? I thought I scoured those from the 'net.😁

77° and clear, high today of 93° with heat warnings for a feels like in excess of 104°.

Liked my forecast of yesterday better.

Good morning. This morning, before it got too toasty outside, I went for my bimonthly haircut. I took a $20 bill, which is enough to cover the haircut, less my senior and veteran discounts, and give the person cutting my hair a $4 tip.
Imagine my surprise when I found out starting July 1 the place had discontinued veteran discounts completely and raised the "senior" age from 60 to 67. So, my $20 paid for my haircut, and the person cutting my hair got zilch.

Just had mine cut last week, cost me $28.00 plus tip! Still it's 1/5th of what the wife's haircut costs.

Some rich hairdressers your side of the pond.

£9.00 plus £1.00 tip here for me at Gents Hairdresser.
£40.00 plus £5.00 tip for Dawn at the Ladies. (Nothing fancy mind.) Do not give the hairdresser £50.00 as she never has any change and takes the lot?

Good morning everyone!

Another warm one again today. Already 82F heading up to a high of around 91F very humid degrees. The rain that we had on
Friday night into Saturday morning did nothing to bring the temps down but caused the humidity to sky-rocket! Defiantly getting
our monies worth out of the pool this year.

Gender reveal party last night was fun. Looks like another boy for them. Wife and daughter were pulling for a girl. Since she is of Hispanic
decent, there was lots of food, and music. Alright by me, as I went up to the Taco bar twice.

Not sure what I have in store for today, no plans yet.

Have a safe day everyone!

Terry: I have a Nuwave and use it for just about everything: bread, biscuits, meat and seafood. Besides airfry, has 12 additional cook types. Bake, Broil ... etc. French fries/tots are the best. Have a gas stove that I don't think the oven has been used for a couple of years. That air fries too but the Nuwave is much quicker: 15/20Min for the stove to reach temp, 5 to 10 for the Nuwave. Since is is a smaller enclosure, I had to drop the time/temp a tad. You will have fun exploring new ways of cooking stuff!

This is my 4th air fryer, and also the smallest. I wasn't sure how it would turn out, since it was sold as a "single serving" size. It will obviously hold and bake 4 biscuits. The first and third ones wore out, the third one was broken in the move to FLA.

Good morning, folks. It's a comfy 88F/67% on the patio this morning with a light breeze. A couple of puffy clouds in the sky, but not much else; the weather app claims a high of 93. We'll see. I certainly didn't get any rain yesterday...

Woke up this morning with the lower half of my left leg totally asleep. Never had that happen before. Arms yes, legs no. Worrisome, but we'll see if it was just a one-off with a cat sleeping on it the wrong way or something. Right now it still feels weird, but I think it's mostly in my head.

Other than waiting for more track bits that I probably shouldn't have ordered, I have no idea what I'm doing today -- except that I need to get some dressier shoes for the funeral, wash the car, and... something I'm currently forgetting. Wonderful!

I sense that it's going to be one of those days...

Hah! That's the advantage of having just cleaned the place out and not really used it yet! To counter, here's my actual workshop (originally geared toward electronics, with 3D printing having mostly taken over recently):

Time to clean off the workbench again. The only reason why the far corner is clear is because I just stole the monitor out of it... for the train room. :)

So, my $20 paid for my haircut, and the person cutting my hair got zilch.

It's up to $35 here, much to my dismay. Pretty sure it was $25 when I moved here about a decade ago, plus a generous tip. Can't argue with the fact that the cost of living has risen, though, sadly. I don't envy barbers; they spend all day on their feet, and don't really make that much as far as I can tell.

Then again, I think society underpays janitors, too, among others.

On tips: am I the only one who thinks that tips should never be added as a "mandatory gratuity" to restaurant checks? The whole point was to reward for good service, or so I thought...

But I digress...

Time to go get my day started, and it's still the actual morning for once!

Have a great Sunday, folks!

Wireless throttles are easier with DCC. That’s why I was asking.

When the time comes for DCC I’d skip the Digitrax. I’d look at something that supports industry standard Railcom or Railcom+ and is multi protocol, supporting Loconet, Z21, etc. there are multiple choices that fit that. Digitrax is basically by itself and proprietary. (Despite owning Loconet, which is licensed out to others).
Hmm. I thought Digitrax supported RailCom. Like I said, though, early in the process. Thanks for the heads up; I'll add it to my list of things to watch for when I get to that bit of research.

Good morning, all! Well, it's another (expletive) hot day in Houston. Another 100 degree day in the forecast with possibly two more during the week. Not much going on at the hobo camp. I have been amusing myself with the new iPad. I believe a couple of you guys have iPads so I have a question. Can I drop an icon on top of another icon to create a folder? As an example, drop Opera icon on Safari icon and the name the folder "Browsers". You can do this in Windows.
Trains have been gathering dust, as I haven't run them in about 4 days. The wife wants to go out today, doesn't know where, but out, so no trains today either.

A photo, just because:
