I don't care what anyone says about Boeing 707, to me the DC-8 is far more pleasing and racy looking airplane. And DC-8 was the only conventional airliner to officially break the sound barrier.

Been a bad day pain wise. Thought it would be a good idea to get off the narcotics...nope.
I guess the nerve blocks finally wore off. Have first pt in the morning, same therapist I had last year. Starting to get a little black and blue, but that is\was expected. Under excessive heat warnings though the middle of the week, and the talking heads think it will be extended.
Not being excessive with moving around, but the more I can do, the less bad side effects that can happen. Pain is my limit, and most of it comes across as cramping.

Yeah, when the nerve blocks wear off, it is hell. Thought I was going to keel over. The nurse was freaking out a bit and started lecturing me while I was dying. Took two oxys to finally break it. Doc told me they administered each 4 hours apart, so I guess I was dying for that long. Now, a shot of demerol would have put me out of my misery in an instant... jus' sayin' :)

The EAA museum I posted pictures here in the Diner last Summer. It is alongside the Oshkosh airport and hosts the EAA AirVenture. What a place, just outstanding.

There will be all kinds of aircraft flying Wisconsin skies this week. It’s not called the Experimental Aircraft Association for nothing.

We went a few times about 10 years apart. It is so massive and crowded now. Plus it’s usually staged on the hottest week in Wisconsin. It definitely was a great experience but sadly for both of us we are done fighting the crowds

When we first got married our apartment was 1/2 mile away and in the direct flight path of NAS Moffat Field. We used to watch the air shows from our balcony every year. P3's and a NASA U2 flew in and out daily.

 

What we don't see is how far leftfielder, Christopher Morel had to travel to get to the ball. The hitter Colton Cowser tends to pull the ball; therefore, the outfield was shifted towards right field. Morel must have gotten a great read of the ball off the bat that enabled him to get a jump on the ball to cover all that ground. Great speed didn't hurt either. Wow!

As Mel Allen would say "How about that!"

Good morning all. A warm, cloudy day. Thunderstorms forecast (again). One day they will materialise. Hopefully not when I collect younger granddaughter from school today.
Flo, I'll hang around a bit and see what is going on. I'll have a large coffee please.

Oldest grandson has arrived home from Paris. Tomorrow he will tell us about his weekend there.

There may be thunderstorms forecast; meanwhile open the door it is warm outside (and in).

It's Troy again.

Tired of the heat dome enough that I found my morning jazz channel on YT with snow!

Still sleepy, waiting on the coffee to kick in.

We've got two decent but warm days for grilling on the kamado. Wife had some pork cubed and in the freezer. So, tonight it's BBQ Kebabs with Teriyaki pork and pineapple. Tomorrow will be grilled chicken breast of some sort.

No clue what today will bring other than grilling and getting my ears lowered. BBL
