Knocking holes in the ground is easier if ya use a pick axe first. Don't have to do full overhead swings with it. Just short choppy hacks will break up the dirt enough to shovel it.
WAY ahead of you on this. Once she decides, I use the pick axe for about 2 inches, fill the hole with water, next day shovel about 4 inches, fill with water, shovel about 6 inches, fill with water, then it is soft enough to finish with a hand scoop, then try and figure out how to stand up again!
About a four day process with me!

When it come to me doing this I go to the high school and see if a few kids want to work for pizza/pop. Usually get a few takers.

Maybe I should clarify a tad. 1st time it was the Wife's idea. Said to her - So, you want to go to the HS and lure kids on the promise of food? Betcha cops show up first! Rethought and went to the Principal 1st explaining. That got her done as when he found out our youngest daughter went there, always good after that.

Nice!

I have favorite musicians:
Guitar - David Gilmour, Mark Knopfler, Neil Young and Peter Green
Drums - Pick Withers, Bill Bruford, Nick Mason
Keyboard - Keith Emerson, Rick Wakeman, Richard Wright (I'd put Gary Wright in there, but I'd have to forfeit my man card, lol)
Bass - Chris Squire, Christina Weymouth, Flea. (Roger Waters doesn't make my list as his bandmates have, but as a lyricist, he's near the top along with Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Jim Morrison and Bernie Taupin).
Have to agree with you on everyone except Springsteen. But especially agree on Peter Green. I never realized that anyone besides me was a fan(atic).
I'll add Keith Moon on drums, plus Duane Allman and Jeff Beck on guitar. Carlos Santana is a great guitarist even though he only plays six notes, but he sure can play those six.

I agree about Springsteen. We might include Steve Perry and Stephen Tyler too? And for guitar how can you forget Slowhand???

I'm not a fan of Springsteen's music at all, but as a songwriter, he is very talented. He penned "Blinded by the Light" and "spirit in the Night" which Manfred Mann made famous, and "Fire" which he wrote in 1977 that The Pointer Sisters made famous. The shear number of songs he has written is impressive... Kind of like Neil Young... a very prolific songwriter, but a lot of people just can't get past his voice (which I happen to admire).

There are MANY guitarists who I admire, but there's something about Gilmour, Knopfler, Green and Young that really push the right buttons for me. I'm also a fan of Gary Moore, Ainsley Lister, Philip Sayce and many more.

For drummers, I tend to like drummers like Nick Mason, who do almost as much with the space between beats than with speed. For example, I absolutely agree that Neil Peart is one of the best drummers ever, but his style just doesn't do it for me. A good example would be Pick Withers in the song "Wild West End." And if you want to hear amazing drumming, listen to Bill Bruford on the mellow parts of "Heart of the Sunrise." I killed a lot of brain cells while listening to that song, LOL!

Now all I wanna do is listen to some good music, LOL!

You mean made infamous. This is the one song on the radio that I can' stand. It is like 3 hours long and is more repetitive than a modern hip hop or pop song.

When it comes on I turn the station.

I can't stand Springsteen but he is quite a writer and performer. He commands the stage very well. (I can't stand Neil Young either).

Good Afternoon!
Couldn't make it in any earlier today, as the wife dragged me out of bed real early to go fishing.

I drove her to the lake (2hrs one-way) for 20 minutes of fishing. While there, she redeemed herself and spanked me with a bigger fish on her first cast.

A 54cm Rainbow trout:

When we arrived home, it was obvious her fish was bigger than mine:

Out of that lake, we are only allowed one fish each that must be bigger than 40cm. We choose to play by the rules, where many don't. But, the wife likes those type of fishing trips, so it's entirely worth it to me.

Oh ya. We needed to watch out for the Grizzly while we were there. It was just a young one, but, it could still beat me up if it wanted those fish bad enough. Luckily, the dog was enough to keep it away.

Now, I'm going to have a nap. Have a great evening!

Afternoon All,

Spent the day working in the shower along with a trip to Lowe's. The new tile is up, and grouting being done tomorrow. The damage was actually less than I expected which is good.👍

Interesting discussion on how YT works.

Patrick- Good luck with the auction.

Willie- The building looks good. I actually use Micromark aged concrete.

Dave- Nice distance layout shot.

Troy- Cool looking elephant.

James- Great looking hotel.

Guy- Beautiful trout and bear.

I hope everyone has a good night.

I have no musical talent or technical knowledge. The only thing I know about music is what I like.
Bill Ward, Geezer Butler and Toni Iommi, singers are pretty much interchangeable. I like 95% of the songs those guys did.
I like a lot of others too, but seldom like half of what they do.
