Good morning!
My day is off to a good start. Dropped a Yote in my back yard. First time I've ever been able to retrieve a rifle AND get off a safe shot in 5 years. It was eating something that looks like the remains of some critter's neck. Put a .308 right behind its ear at 140 yards. 90% luck and a little skill, but with a rifle that's a lot more accurate than I am.
I'm thinking about impaling it on a pole in our yard to send a message to the rest of the pack, LOL!
Hope nobody's offended. As far as I'm concerned the only good Yote is a dead Yote. Here in Ohio, there is no closed season for Coyote.... Open season 24/7/365. The only restriction, is that during "Deer Gun Season" you can only use firearms that are also legal to hunt deer.
I thought about selling it... You can get $75 bounty per yote, but I'd rather keep the tail, and may boil the skull... Not sure yet. For the rest of today, though (while I'm at work), the Buzzards can have at it.
